Bought this item for the low pile and one for high pile. The low pile one doesn’t grip and slides around. So i bought the one for high pile carpet and this one works well on both high and low pile carpets. Don’t waste your money buying the one for low pile carpet just purchase the one for deeper carpet and it works for both. I am buying another high pile one.Read more

We have almost used the whole roll, installed upside down and in various pieces, as cat proofing material. One piece for my husband’s La-Z-Boy. He doesn’t like the cats to be on it and we have new cats to train. More pieces on the floor behind the entertainment center where one cat races through and messes with cords. More pieces behind a TV on a cabinet, where one cat sneaks behind the TV to mess with cords. Our lives are a bit more peaceful now. Ha!Read more

The purpose behind this amazing product is to protect surfaces that see heavy foot traffic. Simple enough right? Well for me, when reversed, it becomes a instrument of learning. My cat thinks my furniture is here for his amusement and sharpening of claws. When this item is placed pointy side up, it provides a nice deterrent for those pesky critters. He has only tried it once and never again. A few things of note: -Did not arrive “stiff”. I was expecting this to be a bit unwieldy but it wasn’t at all. It unrolled with ease. -Easy to cut to desired length. -Works great with Command Adhesive floor strips on vinyl and linoleum. -Does have a smell, but this will go away after a few days. No biggie really. All in all very please and my futon and recliner are now safe! Thank you Resilia!Read more

When we go to bed, I unroll this mat of death spikes upside down on top of the sofa. This is the ONLY thing to date that I’ve found my lab won’t lay on. Forget all those other products you can buy on different pet sites for keeping the pets off, this is the cheapest and most effective method I’ve found to date. Once I forgot it was on the couch (it’s clear and I wasn’t wearing my contacts, ok?) and I sat on it. Those little spikes poked me right in the keister and I got right up.Read more

So very displeased! We bought this with the intention of putting it by the door we let our dog in and out of from outside. We have to wipe her paws after coming in and it’s hard to do so without getting mud on the floor. We had this thing laying flat with weights holding it down for a week and it still will not lay flat. It is made out of a very thin cheaply made plastic and does not seem durable in the slightest. Total waist of money because it is not serving and purpose when it can’t be used as an inside door matRead more

I actually bought this to keep my cats from destroying my fabric chairs. I tried every repellent, but most had to be re-applied every day. Instead, I just draped this runner upside down over the chair, with this spikes pointing upward and presto, no more cats on the furniture! The runner is lightweight and very flexible, which is perfect for my anti-cat scheme and it doesn’t smell or have to be re-applied. When the cats learn their lesson, I’ll roll it up and store it for the next time I have a furniture emergency.Read more

It was not worth the money also it is advertised at $21.25 but charged me $22.58. The plastic is so cheap when they rolled it up to ship it. straight out of the box I was not expecting it to lay straight out but after few hour of walking across it, it was still wrinkled and creased at the ends where they began the process of rolling it up. The plastic moved and skid whenever you walk across because it just doesn’t lay put causing me to trip over it. My carpet is not thick more like a low pile dense plush carpet that is now flat from wear n filth.Read more

I have a very low pile carpet, close to flat in fact, and this mat doesn’t adhere at all. The prongs are too short/small/weak or whatever the issue is. I bought it to protect the edge of my carpet where a tiled kitchen begins because the edge was constantly getting dirty from foot traffic. Now, whenever anyone walks across the mat, it comes loose immediately and is instead of a protectant, is a tripping hazard. I would endorse the consumer who advised getting the mats designed for thicker carpets because their prongs are more substantial…but alas the cost is significantly higher, and when you need only a foot or two (which was my case) you’re paying for a lot of matting you don’t need. I wish they offered smaller sizes, as I’m not willing to pay so much for excess product I will never use.Read more

I am not sure for what purpose this light weight plastic protection would work but it would be hard to imagine it would fit the bill for any purpose at all related to a floor covering. The plastic is very thin rendering its weight the most serious issue in the protruding points establishing a meaningful contact with the carpet. After only two days in use I am tired of having to get it positioned again and again because it has slipped around and fear that its inability to stay put is likely to cause someone to go flying one day. So thin in the plastic that it turns up at the corners and ripples generally for the entire length. So disappointed. I have had runner protectors previously and they were heavy in weight and once placed on the carpet, did not move. This product will find itself in the garbage as soon as I can find a replacement. Would not recommend.Read more

It came rolled, which is expected, but the edge curl never went away, and the spikes do nothing even on a thick runner carpet, it doesn’t stay in place and trips people, gets in the way of the door, and was a complete waste of money. It will only be useful if you’re willing to use a strong adhesive or other means of tacking it down at both ends and along the edges. On it’s own, it’s more in the way than helpful.Read more

The material is incredibly thin. Because of it, the moment you sir on a chair on top, the whole thing bends and deforms. The pins are super short so the whole carpet displaces. And, because I live in Canada, and after purchasing this from Amazon Canada, the return had to be done to the states and I had to pay for it, a price higher than the product itself. So, I have a useless plastic mat in a box, on the garage.Read more

I purchased 2 and both of them are so curled on the ends & sides it won’t go flat. When they roll it up they don’t think up this ? They are to dangerous to use. Someone tripped on it. I even put heavy weighted items on the parts that were curled up. Didn’t help

Used on top of a runner at the back door which gets lots of traffic. The vinyl is clear, fits perfectly and very easy to clean. It doesn’t shift and protects my new runner underneath. The rug design underneath shows nicely. I am very pleased with this product.Read more
