   After taking product out of its packaging, I took my chalk marker (which I highly recommend) and wrote on the boards to make sure it would do. The chalk marker wipes off well with a damp towel. The graphics on the board are nice, the colors pop and there is actually plenty of space to write. Your writing shouldn’t have to be so big that people across the street have to read it *eye roll* Plenty of space to write. The boards material is made out of a type of plastic, not sure what it is exactly, but when I say plastic, I don’t mean flimsy cheap plastic. The boards definitely feel like I’ll get many years of use out of them. As long as you take care of them and store them properly, as you should with anything you want to last, you’ll be fine.    I loved these boards when I got them in the mail! I ordered them with liquid chalk markers. We used it on my sons first day of school and it came out great and super cute. Well I was lazy and didn’t clean off the board for two weeks and when I tried, the actual chalk came off but you can still see the writing on it. I used a magic eraser and was able to get most of it out but you can kind of still read the writing in the background. Bummer, but shouldn’t be too bad when I write over it next year. I wrote on the other board using the same exact liquid chalk markers and washed it off only an hour after writing and it came off clean. So my advice would be to clean it off once you take the pictures to avoid what happened to me!Read more

   The description says these signs are made of “chalkboard material,” but they are plastic with some sort of adhesive type material for the writing. I tested them last night with chalk markers which worked fine, but I can’t see them working with actual chalk (chalk on plastic doesn’t seem like it would work well). Plan on investing in some chalk markers if you buy this product. Aside from the material these seem fine. They are the perfect size, and unlike other reviewers I received a First Day and a Last Day sign. I’m not sure how they will hold up over time as I fear that the writing may start to peal off the plastic board. Overall they look nice, but you can probably find something more durable for the money especially if you have to invest in chalk markers too.Read more

   Lovely product and shipped very quickly! The board is almost like a thick vinyl which is great if a child drops it, won’t break. Worked fine with chalk markers and easy to wipe off. Used the “first day” sign for our one year old at daycare (cheesy, but fun) and plan to use it for when our other toddler moves up the the threes nursery school room soon.Read more

   If I could rate this zero stars I would. I did not receive reusable boards, I received painted wooden plaques with the details pictured – ie Kate etc – permanently painted on. They even had hanging hooks on the back to hang them on the wall. Problem is my kid’s name isn’t Kate and she isn’t in the third grade. It also took weeks to receive because they were shipped directly from China. Oh and they are both for the first day of school. Not that it matters since they are unusable. Company initially seemed receptive to a remedy until I sent the above picture. Haven’t heard from them since. Buyer beware!!!Read more

   I searched through pages upon pages of boards that had space for all the fields that I was looking for (and not too much more), works with both liquid chalk markers and traditional chalk sticks, and that could be used for both my children for years to come. I was originally very excited to see how easy it was for us to remove writing with a wet sponge or cloth. The final product looked great. However, when we decided to redo some of the writing the next day, no amount of water or scrubbing allowed us to fully and cleanly remove the residue of the writing from the day before. I am thoroughly disappointed in the product in that the description noted that it would be easy to erase by using a damp cloth or sponge. If it was sold as a non-reusable product, I would’ve given the product 5 stars.Read more

   Ok these turned out better than I expected. Super cute!!! I used with the liquid chalk markers and it turned out amazing. Sturdy and well made so I’m hoping to continue using these until my kiddos go off to college (here’s to hoping my kids will continue to tolerate these mini photo shoots as they get older!)Read more

   I purchased this a year ago and it didn’t clean well with baby wipes or any other cleaners. So I decided to give it a second try. We used chalk markers and looks vibrant. After 12 hours on the board I thought it wouldn’t clean again, but used isopropyl alcohol this time (hand sanitizing wipes to be exact) and the marker came off completely.Read more
