The picture shows the darkest I ever was able to get it. After two days both pens and pads I bought were no longer functioning. Junk!Read more

I rarely write reviews. But as they say, more people will stop to write negative reviews than positive. I want to reduce use of my cell phone as much as possible. And I used to use the (awesome!) ColorNotes for my shopping lists. After researching, I chose Rocketbook as an alternative to writing on a gazillion tiny sheets of paper that would fill up my pants pocket when shopping. The concept and the notepad itself are terrific. Except for one thing: the inability to use any other pen than Pilot FriXion, which only comes in fine or extra fine point. I have imperfect near vision and always use medium to bold point pens. Have for years. Now I feel like I have to oversketch on the Rocketbook with a fine point pen to be able to see the letters that I am writing. Which defeats the purpose as far as I am concerned. Quick notes, checklists, LEGIBLE writing. Writing that I should be able to do in typical single strokes. Right now I am unimpressed with this product. The concept is great, as is the potential. What compromises that is the ridiculous lack of variety of writing utensils to make it the incredibly useful item It could be.Read more

I have several other Rocketbook products including a mini, a letter size core and an executive size core. I wanted to try a mini as a substitute for a desk full of scrap notepapers and post-its. So far, it has work well for this need and I really only use post-its now for urgent notices or to actually stick to documents. Once I handle my notes then I can just wipe it clean and not have to throw away/recycle a bunch of pieces of paper. It may not be the most cost effective substitute as scratch paper is already recycling trash paper and post-its are not terribly expensive, and the frixion pen refills need to be replaced frequently. But it keeps my desk looking a little less cluttered and I don’t have to flip through a stack of scratch paper that can get blown off my desk or easily misplaced. Now my quick notes are in a reusable notebook.Read more

Working in a psych hospital I have multiple patient talks a day. Trying to remember everything for notes at the end of the day sucks! And I hate wasting strips of paper everyday I work, plus it’s confidential info, so just pile up the shredder. Having this, I can just erase the confidential info at the end of my shift. I also tend to draw during down time, I can quickly take a photo with my phone and erase it too. Not drawing on small paper scraps anymore. Pen is really nice, just like my nice gel documenting pen. Paper is thick, which I like. The mini notebook itself is sturdy and nice to write on in your lap.Read more

As a person who usually loses these little tablets after a week or so, I’ve had mine for over a year. It’s really cool. The fact that it costs as much as it does is probably enough incentive for me to keep track of it, I guess. The only real negatives are that it only uses a certain pen and the pen kind of sucks. If you leave the pen in the car on a hot day it will stop working… also the ink in the tablet will disappear. They say you can put the pen in the freezer and it will start working again but I’ve tried that with 6 or 7 of these pens and I don’t recall that ever working. Also, if you write something and leave it on the page for a while, when you erase it, its “shadow” stays after its erased. Even with that knowledge, I’ve purchased three of them for three different employees and they love them so… can’t be all that bad. Just don’t leave them in the heat.Read more

I am a receptionist and this is a pretty cool gift. It’s nice to be able to not have to flip through a ton of paper. It’s easy to use, and super convenient. I received this item on September 14th 2021, and today, September 30th, 2021 the pen it came with is done for. Hopefully that’s just the one it comes with and the others don’t die as fast. After many uses, the pen is not showing up on the paper as well. I am waiting until it is fully dry so I don’t believe that is the issue. I also use the eraser at times for a quick fix, so that could be the issue. We will see when the new pens come in!Read more

Got it for someone as a gift. Was dismayed when four pages just fell out when they opened it?! Can’t even put them back in, as it has a standard spiral that would probably break when trying to undo. They were still happy about it, but it was pretty embarrassing; Couldn’t check it before I gifted it as the whole thing comes sealed in a packet. Also not super great that there’s not a built-in design for holding the pen, like the Elfinbook mini. Basically, I bought this as a gift as the Elfinbook mini was sold out at the time (I personally have that one and LOVE IT), because I heard rocketbook had a better app experience. If that’s the case, then the Elfinbook mini has way better design and construction, with binder rings that can open and close (if pages had fallen out, coulda just used holepunch reinforcers and easily inserted them back in), a snap-close that doubles as a pen holder, and a pocket to keep a cleaning cloth handy. Really hope rocketbook improves the design of their notepad, as I don’t foresee it as being reusable for long.Read more

Totally disappointed & fed up trying to get pages clean & re-usable. Laborious & time consuming. I would be better off using a chalk & slate board ! For some reason the ink (frixion pen) will not re-write properly on top of a previous area, after the first & subsequent ‘clean & wipe’ cycle. So this isn’t for me & I wouldn’t invest in anymore products like this. On the plus side, there’s always good old paper & pen to return to. Easy & like coming back home !Read more

This is a very useful little notebook- being of somewhat advanced years, I’ve found that writing things down most helpful, instead of trying to remember them. The problem with that is you end up with many easily lost bits of paper everywhere. This notebook is much simpler and a more elegant way of doing things. There are 24 pages, all double-sided, which should be enough for anyone. Once you’ve written your note (and given it time to dry!) it’ll remain there until it’s no longer needed, after which a wipe with a dampened cloth, piece of kitchen paper or the supplied microfibre cloth will erase it and you can re-use that page. It’s ideal for shopping lists and similar temporary notes, useful information to be used at a later date and all sorts of other memory aids. I’ve added an elastic pen-holder to mine, as you have to use a certain type of pen (supplied) and keeping it attached to the notebook is convenient. There’s also the option to store pages in a cloud for those important meeting notes, though I haven’t tried that facility yet. I like this notebook and find more uses for it the longer I have it.Read more

I started with an A4 Rocket Book and loved it so much I got a smaller one so I can keep it with me easier. I have used it countless times already. You can get lots of different colour pens and even highlighters. Dont push too hard when writing as it may leave an indent. Its fine writing normally I’ve only had one small indent from my daughter being a bit rough but doesn’t stop it working like it should just being honestRead more

This note pad is brilliant. I am an advice worker and regularly need to take notes while working with clients. This allows me to upload my notes directly to the computer saving me time from typing these up after our sessions. Originally got the smallest size to try it out but will now be purchasing the A5 size. Also when reading the notes people said no pen was supplied. Mine came with a pen.Read more
