these are definitely not brand new,i see significant sign of using on them, there’s plenty of scratches on the plastic layer cover on top of them.Read more

Amazing concept- I only wish it was stable and higher quality construction. One of the transmitters had a faulty switch, and half way through a recording completely garbled the audio. Was not able to recover the usable portion of the audio, as Rode Central was unable to transfer the files. BE CERTAIN to test extensively before using for anything ‘mission critical’. I certainly wish I had done more research before using these.Read more

I was a previous user of the RODE Wireless Go and upgraded to the RODE Wireless Go 2 to get the extra receiver setup instead of having to mount two sets of the older versions using extra wires. Loved the old versions except they are a large eye sore when mounted onto a client, and unfortunately these new versions are the same size. So you have to flip the around so the RODE label is facing the client’s skin and only the clamp side is sticking out of the top of the shirt. That visual sore aside, they work just as great as the old ones. Plus the wind shields on these actually stay on the mics – unlike the first versions. I’ve only had them for a few days so will test out durability, battery life, etc., more extensive over next few weeks. Wish they came in alternate colors so I could mix and match a mic based on the color of the shirt it’s been affixed to. Check out YouTube reviews like I did for more in depth reviews.Read more

one transmitter doesn’t even power on. I may have just got a bad batch, but I’ve very disappointed. hopefully it can be replaced/returned for one that does work. I’ll update if that happens, for now 1 star.Read more

My son and I have a YouTube channel for our family owned locksmith business. We move around a lot so we needed something that wouldn’t get snagged or ripped entering and exiting our customers cars. Great addition to my iPhone videography. Lightweight and discreet. Great purchase. Adds great improvement from stock onboard microphone on the iPhone.Read more

These are a huge step up from the previous Rode model mics (one mic per unit). This has two mics per receiver unit. The best part is that you can just leave the mic clipped on the talent for as long as you want to shoot, then just offload the audio to your computer for processing. You don’t need to have the receiver hooked up to a recording device the whole time. Just clip, record, connect to the computer via USB-C, download, edit or do whatever you want with the audio. In my opinion, Rode is some of the best pro-sumer quality audio stuff out there.Read more

Excellent microphones! I use these for various cameras including a GoPro. They are great for GoPro cameras, using GoPro Media Mod. The windscreens work great in any wind I was in and allows GoPro cameras to actually work for audio. These can also be used to just record audio on their own, allowing me new ways to record remote audio near bird nests and animal dens. Excellent sensitivity and low noise. The only issue I have had when the batteries get a little low, the transmitted audio sometimes has cutouts and digital distortions. One other thing and it may be me not knowing how the mic works, but changing the gain doesn’t seem to actually change the gain.Read more

Sound is great, wireless connection works perfectly and it has USB C to transfer and charge (as well as the ability to record from two different people with the two different transmitters)Read more

PROS: You can automatically Backup all audio recordings (this personally is my favourite new feature on the GO ii vs GO i very handy). Perfect for YouTubers, amateurs & professionals alike. Excellent audio quality (the best I’ve ever heard from a wireless mic), fast pairing, great range connectivity when talking close to or far from the reciever, nice battery life I get ~6.5-7.5 hours. Audio settings are highly adjustable especially when using the rode app. The GO ii is light weight, easy to conceal, and works perfectly solo and with my non-rode lav mic. Comes with detailed instructions and is overall simple to use. CONS: The price (very expensive). At this price they should have provided more cords because if you want to film/record audio/use the mic with a phone, GoPro or computer extra TRRS, USB C or lighting adapter cords are needed to use the GO ii. Case is too small and won’t fit all the items included (will only hold the 2 transmitters & the receiver). Overall, I would highly recommend the Rode Wireless GO ii to others!

Waited for 10 days to receive the product. But after unboxing, there were dents and scratches on the products. Quite surely it has been used before. Irresponsible. Strange. Unexpected for such an expensive product. Didn’t test the sound recording. Returned it.Read more

On top of the amazing features, portability and quality of the first model, Rode have added onboard recording and the latest firmware update allows recording when not connected to the receiver. This means you can go out with just the 2 mic/transmitters and they will record onto their internal memory for later retrieval on the new Rode Central App. They can either record for 7 hours at broadcast quality or 46 hours normal quality. And of course, the biggest advantage is there are now two transmitters so recording interviews is now possible.Read more

First Rode product to let me down. The transmitters keep unpairing and are completely unreliable in the field. The units look good and come with a handy little case which is a nice touch. Got them working okay at home and things looked promising. The first few sound tests were good. Range is okay if the unit has line of sight, otherwise not amazing but they come with onboard recording as a backup with is great. Problem starts when you switch off and try to turn back on, then one or other unpairs with the receiver. It took an age to find information about how to correct this? Like come on Rode? Anyway, the fix is manageable at home, but outside on a shoot, in full sun light etc is next to impossible. Accompanying software Rode Central, isn’t bad but it would nice if one could download all tracks together, not a biggie but just a minor issue. Ultimately, if you pay €250 for a product from a company with Rode’s reputation you expect reliability to be rock solid and in that regard the product fails. Couldn’t recommend at all, avoid.Read more
