The Rovner Light is designed for the player who desires a more contemporary style of playing. The ligature assists the performer in seeking a more responsive and free playing sound. Jazz musicians especially appreciate this fact, allowing them the opportunity to concentrate more on their music. Rovner ligatures hold the reed to the mouthpiece with no pressure points. Because there are no pressure points or rigid constraints on the reed, the reed seats evenly to the facing of the mouthpiece reducing stuffiness and improving tonal clarity. Available Light model ligatures L2 – Metal Soprano Sax, Nickel Fittings L3 – Hard Rubber Soprano Sax, Gold Fittings L4 – Eb Clarinet, Nickel Fittings L5 – Bb Clarinet, Nickel Fittings L6 – Hard Rubber Alto/Slim Tenor Sax, Gold Fittings L7 – Eb Alto Clarinet, Nickel Fittings L7.5 – Hard Rubber Berg Larsen Bari Sax, Gold Fittings L8 – Hard Rubber Tenor Sax, Gold Fittings L9 – Hard Rubber Baritone Sax, Gold Fittings L10 – Bass Clarinet, Nickel Fittings L11 – Metal Alto/Small Tenor Sax, Nickel Fittings L12 – Metal Alto/Medium Tenor Sax, Nickel Fittings L13 – Metal Large Tenor/Small Bari Sax, Gold Fittings L14 – Metal Large Bari Sax, Nickel Fittings.

This ligature is trash. When I played it it squeaked constantly, then when I tried it with my old lig I could play just fine. Total waste of 26 bucks. If you want something to burn, then this is the ligature for you.Read more

what a god send after the cheap tin ligature included with my horn. It is really easy to remove and replace reeds and easy to tighten properly.Read more

Gotta love these ligs! They are cheap and certainly get the job done while looking the part. One of my favorite things about these style ligs is that they don’t damage the mouthpiece as some metal ligs do. Highly recommended for any player at any skill level!Read more

Fits both my Otto link and Selmer HR mouthpieces. Doesn’t dull the sound at all. Nice. Easy and quick to put on.Read more

Great value and great ligature. I’ve used these for years and this is my favorite. Even has a centering indicator built in. Easy to put on the mouthpiece, easy to adjust and does what it’s supposed to very well. Easier to work with than the heavier duty one and sounds about the same.Read more

Its a Rovner ligature, so its beautifully made and does the job perfectly. I bought it for use with a Rico M9 Metalite Bari sax mouthpiece, using Rico Hemke 2.5 reeds, was happy with tone and response in both quiet and rock passages.Read more

I have one of these for my Alto sax and, having struggled to get consistency using a metal ligature on my Tenor, thought that I would try a Rovner light on it. It works just perfectly on my Selmer S90 mouthpiece with a 3 strength Vandoren reed. Exactly the bluesy sound I want to produce. Now I need one for my clarinet! I followed the instructions and lubed up the rods and screw thread with cork grease.Read more
