Well, full of silica beads. Found that out less than a week after having them as this yellow one rolled off the playroom table and cracked open, throwing silica beads all over the nursery. Some are more full than others. Paint quality is nice, but the seam in them isn’t reinforced at all. Also, silica beads?? Definitely not safe for a nursery or play room.Read more

I almost didn’t buy these because of some negative reviews I read, but I’m glad I took a chance on them. Today is Easter, and my daughter turned 9 months old. She is completely enamored with these– especially the yellow one. All day, she has been crawling past all her other toys to get to these. The set came as pictured, and the painting and seams are clean on all of them. I will not leave her unattended with these because they obviously COULD break open, but I think they will hold up as well as you could expect of a hollow wooden object. In fact, she’s sitting on my lap as I type, happily banging two of them together, and the paint isn’t even chipping. I saw one review from a disappointed customer who said these are not quality musical instruments, and it’s true– they do sound more like a baby rattle than a real egg shaker. But as a music teacher, I have to say– if you look at anything with a ladybug painted on it and expect it to sound like something you’d find in a professional musical ensemble, you’re really setting yourself up for disappointment. My younger elementary students would love these; however, I would opt for something plastic that I can sanitize for my classroom. Super cute addition to my girl’s Easter basket, though.Read more

Half of them have misaligned seams in the middle, so there is a line around the middle with a bump that sticks out (not smooth like an egg, but clearly two halves). Also, some sounded better than others, like whatever was put inside to make the shaking sound was glued or they forgot to put anything in (or just put less). Half of them also have a super slick finish, which feels almost oily. The ones without faces are the cutest, but the ladybug was really the winner with my goddaughter.Read more

They are cute! But are NOT musical instruments as advertised they are baby rattles. So for a BABY they would be great. But for a toddler and young child to use as an actual musical instrument they are not.Read more

The product itself is durable and super cute. I got it for my almost 2 year old for Easter. The reason for 3 stars is that it should be rated for younger babies. My toddler picked it up a few times and he is not interested. All 6 eggs rattle with the same sound. I also think that they should come in smaller packaging. I can deal with 2 eggs, but 6 that he has no interest in is too many…Read more

Bought these for my daughters Easter basket. Like other reviewers I agree that these don’t make a ton of musical noise, but my daughter loves shaking them when music is already playing. They are a perfect size for her toddler hands and I think they are adorable. Be careful what you sanitize/clean them with as the color will bleed off with products like Clorox wipes.Read more

These things get abused daily by my toddler and they have not broken or anything. They make a very pleasant sound when shaken. Super pretty, too. She plays with them daily and I’m super glad we got them.Read more

My daughter’s favorite thing in music group is the shakers so I figured this would be a fabulous stocking stuffer. The painted designs are super cute, but the shakers don’t produce alot of noise. Almost like they have 15 grains of rice instead of 50. I was kind of disappointed, but Kendall still likes shaking them.Read more

Didn’t like as the paint can come off easiler. Not suited for any child that places toys in their mouths. They do make a lovely soundRead more
