My kids and I love this magnetic fractions set! It has fraction strips and circles up to 1/12 for teaching fractions and playing math. It’s beautiful with bright colors, super thick and the magnets on the back are strong! The box it came in was even cute and they sent extra pieces in case you loose a few. The company owner also emailed me an ebook with activities for teaching fractions! We played with them all day the first day we got them so cool! I could not be happier with this purchase as a homeschooler I’m always looking for quality teaching materials and this company totally hit the mark!Read more

I’m a retired teacher and I always used manipulatives with my 4th-6th grade students. Fraction pieces were a staple in my classroom. I ended up purchasing two sets of this great. I purchased the first set for my 2nd grade granddaughter. She was asking about fractions and what they stand for. So after showing her the tiles and explaining about them I told her to play with them and tell me anything she learned. She figured out that four 1/4 tiles fit on a whole. She figured out that eight 1/8 tiles fit on a whole and she figured that two 1/4 tiles fit on a 1/2 tile. She was also able to transfer that knowledge to her piano lessons because she now figures out that there are 4 quarter notes in a measure, etc. We’ve also used to tiles to explore adding and subtracting fractions. My other granddaughter, a 5th grader, was using the tiles to complete her homework, especially important with distance learning during covid. Since both girls were using them a lot I purchased a 2nd set so they would each have their own. This is a great product. We love it!Read more

These magnetic fractions are exactly what we needed for students struggling to understand adding fractions. Being magnetic allows the white board to be used, and provides a more exciting approach than paper alone. The colors not only separate the fractions, but show students visual differences. I was surprised, and pleased to see how thick the pieces are. We sometimes do school while traveling, and these can be easily packed up, and taken along.Read more

These were thicker than I expected. Granted, I didn’t read the description that close. But that makes them a lot easier to remove from the board. The pieces separated easily so they can be manipulated. Seem fairly sturdy. There are three parts, the colored fraction, the foam like center and the magnet piece. I just got mine, so I can’t say for sure on long time use and durability but I think if handled properly, they will last a long time. Kit included fractions from 1 all the way down 1/12. Colors are distinctive, even the 4 rows of purple shades. The circle fractions and the bar fractions are matched in color, except the 1/9, 1/11/1/12 are slightly different from each other. Overall, I am happy with my purchase.Read more

I didn’t even get a chance to take them into the classroom before my son, who is 10, found them and opened them up. He was posting them on the fridge and having a great time doing it. I watched him explore feactions and figure out that 3/12 was the same as 1/4. I’m not trying to brag about my son just pointing out that the colors and magnet parts made them so appealing to him that he wanted to play with them without me asking him to. Can’t wait to use these in the classroom.Read more

My fourth-grade grandson has been struggling a bit with fractions. I thought something that would help him visualize what the numbers of the paper really might help. We had our first session today using the fraction circles and I am very pleased. We put the circles up on a whiteboard and swapped different tiles in and out from circles. My grandson played with the circles a bit on his own as well. The tiles are well made and stuck easily to the whiteboard. I think they will be a big help in getting my grandson to really understand fractions rather than trying to memorize rules. This is a great product.Read more

We just got these yesterday but already my kids loved them. They are made of foam and have a magnet on the back so they stick to white boards to make doing fractions and circles easier! I am hoping that they will stand up for a long time. They seem to be very sturdy, but my kids put everything to the test…lol. They are bright and colorful and I hope will make learning more fun. My only concern yesterday was when I was taking the pieces apart, some of the perforation for the pieces were great and some I had to pull on and the magnet stuff tore a bit. But I think if I had to have them replaced I could call the number on the box and they would replace it for me.Read more

While my daughter worked on multiples of 3 piecing together her own pie, I found myself absolutely intrigued by the 1/11th pie. I have been carrying it around all day, sticking it everywhere. I also keep fidget fold/rotating it. At the end of the first day it has split 1/11th. Have a good 3/11/21Read more
