I’d seen these gel things being sold for cleaning keyboard and car interiors. I knew the concept but didn’t know how well they worked. Now that I’ve tried it for myself, I really like it. When cleaning a car’s center console, there are many corners that a towel just won’t reach this gel can mold itself into those corners and its sticky nature will take out the little dust that is stuck there. The texture of a gel is somewhat thicker than the slime that kids make with white glue and doesn’t easily break apart. This is why it is great for cleaning keyboards. The gel can get in between the keys but it won’t rip apart and leave pieces of itself under the keys. There is an odd smell to the goop but that’s expected of slime and other types of gels like this.Read more

The principle behind the Cleaning Gel is that it gets deep into the keyboard and piano keys, but I find my dust blowers and tech vacuums do a better job. That isn’t to say, the gel doesn’t work. It does pick up moderate dust. I’m not sure if this will scale though. Having cold slime in your hand while cleaning tech is counter-intuitive and less than appealing. I tried to get used to it. I really did. And while it works as advertised for the most part, I’m concerned that it will disintegrate and get into my piano or mechanical keyboard (so far it hasn’t), so I’ll probably stick to vacuum and air duster.Read more

overall the product is really great. The only issue I have is that the magnets for the back piece aren’t really strong, so it comes off when I’m using the brush or screen cleaner. If those magnets were stronger, easy 5 stars.Read more
