Great variety of colors but not the most amazing quality. Most of the glitter and metallic ones work between ok and good while most of the standard and pastel ones skip a lot. I mean all categories have some absolute duds but the glitter and metallic ones tend to be a bit smoother and do not skip as much.Read more

If you’re looking for a set of gel pens featuring almost every color under the sun, this 140 piece set is for you. They are perfect for drawing, creative writing & coloring in adult coloring books. I am EXTREMELY impressed with this set. Initially, I had an issue with the first box I received (the ink wasn’t equal inside of all of the pens, some lacked the proper amount of ink). Smart Color Art has EXCELLENT customer service. They listened to the problem, reviewed the picture I submitted to them an sent me a new box of pens. They allowed me to keep the first set I ordered as well. They were very courteous and understanding. They made sure that I was happy. I highly recommend Smart Color Art.Read more

These and the other pen sets like them all seem to be from the same factory (I also own the smaller set of 108 colors from courise; http://amzn.to/2sSBwjn) but they are still really fun art instruments. Unlike pencils you don’t shade with these. Having a large set of colors, each a little different, lets you transition pretty well. Ink pens like this don;t last a whole long time but the refills (http://amzn.to/2sP2mJk) are under $8 for 120 colors. The different grades of metallic colors really give an impressive effect on paper. By grades I mean that there seems to be coarse, medium, and fine glitter in the ink of most of the pens. the fine glitter is a buttery smooth metallic satin that is just gorgeous. I was really surprised that the glitter flowed so smoothly from he pens, even the coarse stuff that you can feel on the paper. There are 4 pens in the set that, artistically, are useless. Those are the swirls. the Swirl pens are filled with alternating colors. they only write in one color at a time so ‘why?’ becomes the question. give them to the kids to take to school. Another drawback I see, that seems to be from all sources, is a lack of dark yellows. I am updating this review to reflect this as I am currently trying to color some smeared motor oil which is an amber tone and there’s not a pen in either set that looks right.Read more

I am very happy with these gel pens! They were packed well and arrived on time. I LOVE the colors! Some of them are very close to others, but they have a shimmer or sparkle to change them up a bit. I wish there were a powder blue hue. It seems as though the light blues are more aqua than blue, but I still enjoy the variety of colors.Read more

I would say 3/4 of these pens are scratch when writing. There is a nice assortment of colors, but that doesn’t matter if the colors are hard to get down onto paper. I wish I had picked a different “no name” gel pen to start with.Read more

I have a hard time with the rating of this set. I liked the set and all the colors. However, around 3 pens were broken and around 8 others were dried up straight out of the shipping box. Some were full of ink but I had to fight to get the pen working. Some won’t keep their lids on worth a darn. I also find that the ‘rainbow’ colors where they start out one color, switch to a second and third color aren’t valuable to me at all. The packaging fell apart on me too, so had to find an alternative to where to keep them. They are a very cheap and generic pen… but the ones that worked or I got working colored nicely enough.Read more

These pens are very cheaply made. They look and feel like something you’d buy at the dollar store. I do really like some of the colors and they are pretty vibrant, but the ink stays wet for a very long time and smudges very easily. A lot of the tips were loose and I had to tighten them and one of the tips was even broken and wouldn’t fit correctly. Definitely wouldn’t buy these again and would return but I don’t feel like going through the trouble.Read more

Lots of colors, but that is about the only positive. Some pens needed scribbling to work, one pen looked like it held 3 different colored inks and none of the pens came completely full. In the attached picture, the purple pen has not yet been used. The brown pen was used only on the rabbit pictured and is almost out of ink already. Very disappointed with this purchase.Read more
