I am really having a tough time understanding how this product got such high ratings. First, the quality of the plastic on this toy is really low. It is that thin brittle plastic common to very cheap toys. The printing and coloring isn’t crisp. And our unit was defective right out of the box. It would light up when batteries were first put into it but then wouldn’t light up again until you took the batteries out and put them back in. I believe that the company that made this spent more money on the packaging than the actual product. That this thing is priced at $20 is absolutely insane- and this is coming from a family that has bought ridiculously expensive silly stuff for their baby. I can’t find a proper justification for this item being $20. If it had been made out of premium materials then MAYBE. But it’s just all around junk. Buyer beware.Read more

okay.. I know… $20 for a baby rattle… wtf? no. right? wrong. This this is really great. Seriously. Got it when my daughter was about 3m old. She wasn’t super interested in it at first, but then as she grew, it helped with her dexterity as she could easily grasp it, & was interested in switching it from hand to hand. The light up portion of it, mixed with the rattle, has gotten her to stop crying on numerous car rides (I shake the rattle at her & bop it to make the light change, she watches in wonder) & she loves to chew on the yellow little nubs, as well as turning it upside down & chewing on the white lip where the mirror is. She also now just loves to bang it on things, or to just have it in her lap & she’ll hit it to make the colors change. Yea the battery died after about 3 months because I’d toss it in the diaper bag, & it would just turn on & off a lot due to that. But so what, just replace it. It’s great.Read more

This rattle is wildly overpriced for what it is. It lights up when you or baby shakes it, and rotates color between red/blue/green. There’s a tiny mirror on the bottom. My four month old will look at it, but expresses no greater interest in it than any other rattle/toy. It’s also not great for teething due to the larger hard plastic bulb and mirrored base. There’s not anything I can see that justifies this sticker price, and the pandering the company uses that it is “developmental” and an “essential” baby item really grinds my gears. Save your money for a less expensive actual developmental item or buy a cheaper rattle as you and your baby won’t be able to tell the difference (but your wallet will).Read more

My daughter loved this toy. The lights and its also so easy to hold onto. I will say as she shakes it back and fourth she kinda bangs it against her head. So i don’t leave to her unsupervised. She gets this splurge of energy and i worry she might hit herself hard. The next point i want to make- I tried to sanitize this with a little water and brown stuff came out. I did not dip this or emerge this in water. It looked like it was oxidized. I am so glad i noticed this before giving back to my daughter.Read more

My 4 month old loves this rattle! Every time I bring it to him he starts squealing and grasping for it, and he’ll inch forward to grab it during tummy time. It’s so easy for him to hold and he loves how it lights up. Bonus for mom – it will snap him out of the occasional meltdown, and the rattle sound is nice; not too shrill or tinny. The only thing I would say is that it is hard plastic and he smacks himself in the face with it because he gets so excited, but I think that will improve as he gains more control over his movements. We’ve noticed that this can be avoided if we place it in his non-dominant hand.Read more

We’ve had this toy for a few months now (since my baby was 6 months old, he’s now 8.5 months), and it’s still one of his favorite toys. That is unheard of in babyland! I don’t know what it is about this thing, but it cracks. him. up. He loves shaking it, banging it on things, chewing on it. He loves when we play peekaboo with it and the face changes colors each time. He loves licking the mirror on the bottom (?!). This toy is amazing. That is all.Read more

I bought this after a good friend recommended it, and I was not disappointed! My son is 3 months old and is just starting to learn to grasp things. We have 3-4 other rattles/teethers and he hasn’t been able to grasp them due to the thicker size. This toy’s post is thin enough for him to grab it with confidence and hold on! Yes, he’s hit himself in the face a couple of times, but over time I think this toy will help him with his spacial awareness and motor control. It’s not a great tether, as the head part is so large so I would not recommend this toy for that function. Overall a great toy and a perfect baby shower gift “splurged gift.Read more

I absolutely love and highly recommend these rattles they are very expensive which really stinks but I’ve had 4 children and this is my 2nd one the only reason the 1st 1 broke is because they left it on the heater and it melted my 1st baby had a very hard time grabbing things after months of working with her we finally bought this rattle and she was grabbing stuff in no time my other children absolutely adored it and now with my last one my youngest I bought a new 1 the light makes her so happy She grabs it very easily and plays with it all the time it is her favorite I know these rattles are expensive but trust me there worth every penny and they last There is honestly nothing other than the price I don’t like about this rattle the little book it comes with that tells you their milestones is also highly helpful If you are thinking a gift for somebody this is perfect if you thinking for your own baby this is perfect it doesn’t matter just buy the rattleRead more

This is very good toy however for 3-12 months only. My baby is 15 months old. It’s not clearly mentioned in the product description. This is excellent for infants but not for little grown ups like 6 months plus.Read more
