Most importantly: the first try, I couldn’t get the chute to move — which added a little complication to doing the clearing. Monday morning, I emailed Snow Joe. Tom wrote back within a couple hours and after I answered a couple questions, advised me to WD-40 the entire base of the chute and wait 24 hours. It was still stiff at first — burt I just kept trying to make it move and finally, it freed up. Probably the result of being manufactured, boxed, and stored for who knows how long. But it is great now!!Read more

This little thing does a great job. I’ve always had the large, two stage, gas powered snow blowers in the past, so I was skeptical of this electric snow blower. It arrived in two days, just before another round of Colorado snow. The assembly was very easy, the included instructions weren’t even needed. The two pronged plug-in is shielded with a plastic skirt, so my three outlet extension cords were not able to work. Luckily, I had an eight foot outdoor extension cord sitting around with Christmas lights. I will be purchasing a quality 100’ outdoor extension cord with a single receptacle ASAP to eliminate the extra connection and hassle of using the three outlet cords. The snow has about 4” of the light, powdery snow we love and enjoy here in Colorado. This electric snow blower moved it with ease. Even when going over places the plow had piled up or places I had blown snow on top of, this thing didn’t bog down or clog. I have a very bad back and shoulder, this thing made a world of difference clearing the snow from the driveway and sidewalks. I even did some of the neighbors’ sidewalks since I was feeling fine. Time will only tell about the durability, but with only a two year warranty I hope it lasts well beyond that.Read more

The media could not be loaded. Only used once, but this snowblower exceeded my expectations in clearing about 8 inches of snow off my driveway, sidewalk, and parking spaces in front of my house. Cord management is similar to an electric plug-in mower. The chute is not very adjustable. And not being self-propelled, it does take some effort to push through deeper snow, even taking two passes in drifts over 10 inches. But it is lightweight, maneuverable, and plenty strong to throw the snow out of its path. if you regularly get more than a foot of snow, this isn’t for you, but for light to medium duty use, I think it is a great value!Read more

  4. I hope this helps

I live in an area that gets 4 to 6 inches of snow when we get snow. We have received some greater totals and I put a previous Snow Joe through some tough jobs since 2010. I have friends that have gas snow blowers that fail to start because they have not been maintained. The gas blowers are more powerful but require a commitment to maintain them. The Snow Joe is ready to go. My first Snow Joe failed this year. The drive pulley broke into pieces and is no longer supplied. The rest of the snowblower is okay. I bought another Snow Joe because my first lasted almost 12 years. Hopefully I get another 10 plus years with this Snow Joe.Read more

Very nice, powerful snowblower. Lightweight and easy to operate. Assembly of handle took just a few minutes, and it was ready to use. The price on Amazon was awesome, and Amazon Prime shipping had it to me in two days. This will be a big help should we have more snow as we’ve had the past two weeks. My driveway is very long and shoveling it by hand is a really daunting task. Also bought the 100 ft outdoor extension cord from Amazon to use with it. I’m ready to go, bring on the snow!Read more

Easy to assemble, lightweight and portable. Pretty good value for money. Not self-propelled. Probably not as sturdy as its other gas-powered counterparts. Used in approx 4”-5” light snow in NW New Jersey. This thing is powerful and fast. Should be able to handle 6”-12”. A little awkward at times due to manual propulsion and long extension cord, but any decent gas-powered blower is just not in my budget. Overall very happy.Read more

Easy to adjust the discharge path and it throws snow a good distance to clear drive. Clears snow quick and easy. Only thing that takes getting used to is working around the cord BUT it beats struggling to start a cold gas engine, and running out for, and storing gas. Much cheaper, both in the beginning and long term, than either gas or battery versionRead more

I found the safety botton feature bothersome, especially when wearing heavy gloves. MY electric lawn mower has a far better mechanical safety feature that doesn’t require two hands to activate. I did relocate the electric cord to the very top left side of the handle which provides far better cord control and less chance of running over cord when making a maneuver. Also purchased a 12/3 100 ft commercial quality extreme cold weather cord which is now installed semi permanent. Ready for next snowfall!Read more
