I take pride in protecting my lawn. As a result, I have to mix up various chemicals to kill specific types of weeds. I always add two things at the end of the herbicides to my sprayer – this surfactant and blue dye (Monterey sells MarkIt). The surfactant helps the herbicide stick, and NOT slide, to the leaves of the weeds. This is especially helpful when spraying large batches of poison ivy. Because it sticks, and because the final solution is blue (MarkIt), it is very easy to see where I have sprayed the herbicide mix. I have not run into any instances yet in which I would not use this product. Not much is needed to make your herbicide “soapy” and stick to the plants. While you could use dish soap, it tends to form bubbles in the sprayer tank when you slosh it (to stir up the chemicals) around. I have found this to work much better. You can certainly use dish soap in a pinch.Read more

It does work good with herbicides to make it adhere to the plant for a better kill! I just didn’t realize this is only a pint! I didn’t think it would or could come any less than a gallon! Imagine my surprise when I saw these “sample” size bottles! I didn’t remember what I had paid last year for this same product. I looked back and it was $26.44 a gallon. I would have never ordered two pints for $23.50! My fault for not looking closer at the product size!Read more

This product is worth its weight in GOLD! I have a massive field next to my home that I have to maintain. It gets infested with dandelion weeds. They are the scourge of the earth do their their innate ability for mass propagation. Normally when I use Spectraside weed killer, it takes a few days to see full results. Not any more! By using the surfactant, it breaks the surface area of the liquid and allows for even coverage and full penetration onto the weed. I’m not kidding you….. I sprayed the weeds in the afternoon last week. I came out the next morning and the weeds we dead. I’m not talking kinda dead. I’m talking brown, shriveled, scorched to the ground dead. I will never not use a surfactant again. A little bit goes a long way with this product. But if you really want to maximize the effectiveness of the herbaside you’re using to kill weeds, DO NOT hesitate to get this. It’s a game changer!Read more

Have about 3/4 acre of poison ivy, English ivy and Virginia Creeper to slay, and this stuff made my RoundUp way more effective than in the past. Saw 100% coverage yellowing and wilting within two days, couldn’t be happier. Pic is after 10 minutes on a weed with 2tbs of this and 2.5cups round up in 4 gals of water.Read more

Good Product that functions well as an Additive to any Liquid Fertilizer or Pest Control used in a Pump Sprayer. It materially improves the “stickiness” of the Chemical being applied, and therefore you get better results. You can use LESS product than Label suggests and results are still very good. Would recommend, though price Always increases during Prime Summer Season. Good Product to buy Off Season when less expensive due to reduced demand ——- Try Buying In the Nov – Feb Timeframe.Read more

I sprayed some weeds with and without this product. I was a little frustrated prior of using this because my results were not great. After using this, I have seen that the weed killer I was using worked much better. My only question is why not already include this in the weed killer? And the killer was from the same manufacturer?Read more

Algae is gone and our fish are happy again. This is a must have if you are using Clipper or other herbicides for algae removal in your pond. My understanding after much research is that the surfactant keeps the herbicide on the vegetation so it has time to penetrate and work. I worked for over a year trying to manually remove water meal algae for fear that any herbicide would harm the fish and wildlife in our pond. After no success finally gave Clipper a try along with Southern Ag Surfactant. A month later, all algae is gone or dead. Not one fish or duck harmed and the pond has now come back alive. Thanks Amazon!Read more

One ounce per gallon mixed with Roundup makes a huge difference. The spray is finer, the Roundup stays mixed better and it takes a lot less spraying to get the job done. This stuff will save you money.Read more
