For the student needing extra help. Spectrum books tend to be too easy for above average students and present no challenge for such students. Clear and direct for average or below average students.Read more

I bought this book and a 6th grade book together since one of my friends highly recommended it. All my reviews now are based on the 5th grade book. I should say that there are some errors at the very beginning. There was one practice to find the main topic sentence. The solution was not right. I like how the author use pictures to explain the basics of writing an article though.Read more

I have found this line of learning books to be very helpful for my daughter during this trying time. Aside from distance learning, I have her work on a few assignments a week from different books to keep her stimulated. If she’s at the computer for too long she gets bored and wants to start goofing around. But with the book, and away from the computer she tends to do well. I am not one who has the teaching skills or patience as our teachers do, but I try to do my best. It also helped keeping her on track over the summer.Read more

Ordered this book to help my 10 year old get a better grasp on the fundamentals of writing. The worksheets are detailed and the lessons are broken down beautifully. Each lesson builds upon the next in a logical progression of key concepts . This book eases the student into the process of writing, which makes it less overwhelming. Five stars!Read more

This is a great workbook for my daughter! Not too easy but also not too hard. My daughter does not like workbooks but she does spectrum ones so well! Each page has a different topic and she is learning a lot. Many different writing assignments too! She loves writing stories so this is perfect for her. I highly recommend this workbook for any parent who is looking for the perfect writing workbook for the summer.Read more
