Things were going fine until they weren’t. While taking my MacBook Pro apart one of the screws stripped. So while looking up what to do about it I found the quote “I should have used a p5 not a t5”. So when I searched for the difference I found that the ‘p’ stands for pentalobe. What this means is that the stars in the screws have rounded tips. Well, it reads “for Mac” and “pentalobe” in the description of this product but none of the bits are pentalobe bits and if they are they aren’t clearly marked.Read more

This kit cost me $18.99 on sale for 120 bits plus everything else which is absolute steal. Even at the regular $29.99 it’s still a steal. iFixit’s largest kit has only 112 bits and is $65. So the screwdriver isn’t machined aluminum like in an iFixit kit. Who cares. Is there any wonder why they’re sending their kits to EVERY tech content creator on YouTube? For the price, you really can’t complain. The quality of the set seems pretty good. Ive seen other people in the reviews say that some bits are bent. I only got one bit that was slightly bent, and that was one of the multiple sim card ejectors. The set comes with a ton of bits and different tool that I think could get just about any job done on an electronic device. The handle has a couple options for getting in tight spaces and has a nice magnet that is quite helpful in not dropping screws. I would have liked if it would have came with a few larger Philips bits, as the ones that come with it aren’t too big which can be hard if your working on something larger, like a tv. It comes with a nice magnetic sheet which you can organize your screws with and make sure you don’t lose them. Overall, Id say, if you have the budget, go with something like I fix it, as I would expect it to be slightly better quality and maybe have more bits, but for something cheap, I think this is a great option that is very comparable in just about everything to a more expensive kit.Read more

STREBITO Screwdriver Sets 142-Piece Electronics Precision Screwdriver I’ve been wanting to upgrade my laptop for a while now but none of my usual ‘electronics” screwdrivers worked because my hp laptop has 3 of the smallest Philips screws I’ve ever seen. I saw other more expensive sets that didn’t have all the drive heads this one did. They had 2 screwdrivers though. However, to me, that’s totally worthless if you do not have a good selection of drive heads. I love the selection of the different plastic and metal spudgers. I’ve never had spudgers before and I have always used a table knife and it sucked – I worked on 4 laptops and used the plastic spudgers and no scratches. (Also no making the wife angry for bending the tip of another table knife.) You almost don’t need the tweezers because the magnetized driver head never dropped a screw. I also really liked the brush and the little cloth. You can tell from the stitching in the case and the materials used for the tools that everything is a good quality. Thanks StrebitoRead more
