I found a NPPTL lab test on these. 87-97% filtering- 7 of 10 were 94%+. Good enough for the teaching, grocery store, salon or visiting the doctor but not consistently at 95%. Not surprising for Chinese manufacturing. I have bought 3 boxes, pretty good fit for most of the family. One box has a different nose wire than the others also looks thinner & different cut, haven’t tried these ones yet. Its much better protection than the blue surgical masks. Not a 3m n95, but seems to provide better protection than most other available products during these supply chain disruptions. I also use Korean kf94 masks also, they seem to be thinner & possibly better manufacturering – can’tfind test results on the Korean masks.Read more

First the item arrived earlier then expected in an envelop bag which crushed the box but doesn’t damage any masks. Each mask is individually wrapped as shown in the 1st picture above. The 2nd picture shows how it fits on a face. I have a small frame so I would need to use the mask with the strap extender which I prefer anyhow. The last two pictures show the differences between a surgical mask and this KN95 mask. The KN95 is much thicker. I was told by a trusted source that KN95 is considered a higher grade protection as they filter out more. Because it did not meet 100% of N95 spec, it is not use for Doctors and Nurses. For every day use, it is an excellent protection mask.Read more

I would not give these to my worst enemy! If you look at photos with positive reviews they all have an external metal band over the nose. Mine have an internal plastic band. This band does not conform to the shape of your nose and does not hold its position. It will revert back to whatever shape it came from in the box. Imagine trying to keep a mask conformed to your face using a cheap dollar store twist tie and you pretty much get the idea. I’m guessing they are using a new design this year, and that design is AWFUL. When I was sanding my mouth got filled with Sawdust coming in from around my nose. Furthermore, with each breath out, you get harsh wind directed into your eyeballs. I bought these for the garage, but if it can’t keep out sawdust, it’d bet money it will not keep out covid. Save your money and buy something else. These are junk. Not garage worthy. Not medical worthy. I’ll be returning mine. EDIT – I ended up keeping them coz I missed my return window. I’m slowly using the box. My workaround to make them functional is to pull the mask up high and complete the barrier with my Dewalt full sealing eye goggles on top of the nose bridge of the mask. Not comfortable or convenient, but it keeps the particulates out. You can’t tell from the pic but the gap is big enough to slip my pinkey into and this is the only way they are usable. Still won’t recommend or rebuy but I hate to waste money and I can’t bring myself to use my more expensive p100 respirator filters on simple sanding jobs.Read more
