I received the product today. This is the second time I’ve ordered essential clove oil thought the first time was a different brand. This smells lighter than the clove oil I had last time and not as sharp or pungent. At first I assumed that there were just different types of clove that are used to produce the essential oils just based on the different smell, however, the longer I left it on my skin, the more it started to smell like the clove oil I’d grown accustomed to. Also, this came with a dropper which is a great idea, however, it arrived broken. I didn’t realize it until I tried to pick it up and accidentally poked myself with it. I don’t think this is actually essential oil. Before using this product I used what I KNEW was essential oil in my previous batches so I know what the consistency of the toothpaste should be and that it works well and didn’t irritate my gums. Unfortunately after using this product in my recipe, making it exactly the same way, it irritates my gums and made the consistency weirdly thinner. So this leads me to believe that this is not pure essential oil. Also on the bottle nowhere does it specify that it is essential oil it just says clove oil so there could be carrier oil in it. Main reason for the one star is they advertise as organic meaning consumption possibility. Although with this brand I would not recommend it compared to mother doterra or whatnot. This is not for organic oral and thereputic consumption. Only use it in a diffuser…please don’t put it in your body bc someone’s to lazy and too much like me. Scrooge to do the job right.
