I don’t know where I went wrong with this product and this company. I even bought the protection plan. Just a victim of great marketing I guess. Out of the box this product was great!! and has a very comfortable ride. It is used for a 1.7 mile commute by a 12 year old from school on the side walk for 3-4 days weekly. The Razor scooter he had was just old – had been using it for almost 2 years. I just decided to upgrade it to a Swagtron because the razor was all scratched and looked old. The Swagtron just fell apart after 29 days of actual use on the commute. Again a smooth sidewalk the whole way. Now he is back to riding the 2 year old Razor. Its far less comfortable but still works fine.!! Details. Purchased July 19, 2019 First use on commute: August 12 Fell Apart: October 1, 2019 (less than 30days of use only 3-4 days weekly) – see picture Swagtron Approved for Repair on Oct 10. Note : Very cumbersome process and I had to buy postage and packaging $40 Confirmed received on Nov 14 Today November 27: Still no word. I sincerely regret not buying another scooter from a different company. To rub salt in the wound the return process is cumbersome and expensive. I sincerely regret returning it- I should have just cut my losses. This company has truly let me down with its product and inadequate and slow responses to this issue from a customer service standpoint. I do not recommend.Read more

I’m a 200lb adult. I have traveled about 5 miles so far using this K8 scooter with my kids (kids riding razor A5). Stopping is better on the A5, the wheels are better on the A5. The K8 is sturdier than the A5 And quieter. The K8 design is better for an adult than the A5 (handle bar height, stickers). Overall for a kid the A5 is the better choice, and for an adult the K8.Read more

I’ve had this since the end of August and the last 3 weeks I’ve had serious issues with the handle bar slowly turning while I ride until it’s impossible to hold on. I tried tightening everything which seemed to help for a day and a half but this morning I was almost injured when the handles suddenly jerked out of alignment AGAIN. I don’t use it for anything other than basic riding, meaning no fancy jumps or other tricks so I can’t imagine another issue other than faulty manufacturing. If I can find a way to weld it in place I’d be happy to continue using it but at this point it’s not worth the risk of injury.Read more

I’ve been using this for about 30 minutes a day every weekday for a little over a week now and have zero complaints. I take a public bus to and from work and use this to get from the stops to my office/house since I didn’t want to deal with a bike on the bus. It is light and easy to use, and it folds up quickly and is easy to deploy. For me, one advantage it had over a Razor of similar value was its design, as it is much less branded and therefore a little bit more professional (as professional as a kick-scooter can be anyway). I appreciate the addition of a bell as I share roads and sidewalks with cars and pedestrians, and the small kickstand is a nice touch. The wheels hold up very well and make for a smooth ride, both on roadways and sidewalks, and- when I bother to use it- the brake on the back wheel works excellently. All in all a very solid choice for a push-scooter.Read more

The front wheel keeps moving way out of alignment with the handlebars. Very dangerous because it happens while riding!!. Customer support told me there’s nothing I can do. That I need to pay to have it shipped to them. At least when our swagtron hoverboard was recalled for catching on fire, they were respectful enough to pay for shipping and send a box. Such a horrible customer service experience. No I’m not going to “go shop for a box” as they instructed, I’m throwing this useless thing out that has been sitting in our closet for 4 months and I’m buying another Razor like I should have.in the first place. Argh. he front wheel keeps coming loose, like out of alignment with the handlebars. Maybe I’m an idiot but I can’t see anyway to tighten it so that it won’t. My son initially loved it until he decided it was going to make him wipe out. It’s a really attractive scooter though, nicer looking than the razors we’ve had.Read more

As a novice scooter rider, the K8 is very good to start with. Large wheels, solid board, and enough weight to make it forgiving of bumps and small debris. However, the handles have a lot of play, and vibrate a lot even when locked in. I good price for a solid ride, but would like it to feel more solid in my hands.Read more

Love this scooter but starts to rattle a bit. It goes fast! Deck is narrow & only for one foot. Brakes work decent. Start to brake like 10 to 5 feet before intended stop. Overall great scooter for the price. Great quality. Will update review in the future. I’m female & 193 lbs and 5ft 3in tall. It feels like it holds my weight with no problem. I use it in the city with a lot of bumps & cracks & it goes right over it. Great wheels. For price recommend this scooter. Great & fun scooter. Rides well in the rain. Brakes work great when wet too! I was so surprised with this scooter. Surprisingly there’s no videos or reviews on YouTube about this scooter. I’m very picky and I’m satisfied with this scooter.Read more

The quality of this scooter is very good. My son also has a scooter. I bought this mainly for my own use. By the way, I will play with my son. It is not easy to be a father. I need to be with me from time to time. My father is accompanied by less, most of them are It was his mother who played with him. I was busy with work. I really did not accompany my son. I hope that if my father is not very busy, I will take time out to accompany my son for entertainment. Everyone is very busy. Time is all out of the crowd. Family, I used this scooter several times, it is sturdy and durable, my weight is 200lb, and I have not found any problems and complaints.Read more

All in all, I would not recommend this for adults looking to commute. I have used it daily for approximately 5-6km/day total over the last month. It’s few benefits are the look and foldability (also relatively light). Downsides include the fact the handle isn’t sturdy and rocks back and forth with weight. The scooter rattles immensely, and you can hear me coming from a block away. The rear wheel brake is complete garbage and does little to slow the unit down . There is not enough room for 2 adult feet to rest comfortably. All in all, its fun for short rides with my kid but NOT suitable for my commute.Read more

Bought this scooter in July. Has been used quite sparingly. Of recent only a child was riding it who weighs no more than 75 pounds. When I first got it, it seemed great. Did notice rattling and tightened a bolt just under the folding mechanism. This bolt is hollow and another one threads through it. The one that threads through it dropped off somewhere when my kids was riding the scooter. See pics where right side of the scooter shows the bolt is missing. The bolt in pic is the hollow one that I put in but its now unsafe to ride. Will contact the manufacturer to see what can be done. Another odd thing is the paperwork that came with the item said a 90 day warranty but the scooter details on amazon state its a one year warranty. All in all, can’t recommend such a product that come apart so easily and is not cheap. That bolt is the lynchpin of the scooter to attach to the floorboard. We have an old razor that has held firm over many years in comparison. Update Nov 11, 2020 Contacted SWAGTRON and asked for the replacement part. The description clearly states one year warranty as below. They send an invoice to ship just this part. The invoice was for $30. $10 for the part and $19 for shipping & processing. What a crock. I declined as that is wrong. I could get a bolt from the hardware store for a fraction of that. I wanted to see how they honor their warranty. Now I know. Avoid this scooter savvy shoppers.Read more

I debated a long time over different types of scooters I could have gotten for myself, an adult. I’m not mad that I settled on this one. It does rattle as other have said, however if you tighten the proper bolts the rattling is lessened, and I find that when I’m riding it there is not rattling at all. I have noticed that I need to keep the Allen keys on me as I’ve hit a few bumps and bolts have loosened, but it’s not a big issue if you have the tools on you. Once you get momentum going it really goes very fast.Read more

I bought this for my 9-year-old, and it fit her perfectly. She’s on the shorter side, so I was a little worried it would be too big, but it fits great on the lowest level. It also would be great for an adult as well. When my husband stepped on it, the foot area dipped down a bit – Not sure if that’s normal, he weighs about 165lbs. Overall, awesome! I’m thinking of getting myself one.Read more
