We had a swingline stapler at work that was dependable and awesome. It lasted about a year and a half of hardcore use until it someone broke it. I bought this two pack in July because Swingline has always been good to us… It’s 3 months later and they are both in the trash because they keep jamming and staples get stuck in there permanently. BOTH staplers are duds. I think there was a change in manufacturing with these. Don’t waste your money!Read more

I am a high school math teacher and I bought these staplers for my classroom. I thought, well they’re cheap and hey, you even get two of them. Problem is, both of them jam about 1 in every 3 attempts. That is totally ridiculous. I’m not even stapling 20 sheets of paper or anything. Usually just stapling 2 or 3 pages together. I have given up on these staplers, I found an old one of theseSwingline Stapler, 747, Manual, 25 Sheets Capacity, Business, Desktop, Rio Red (74736) in a desk drawer in the classroom and have been using that since. That thing is a tank and I would definitely recommend it over this.Read more

I bought this 2-pack for my middle school classroom, intending to replace the two working staplers that were not as sturdy as the old traditional Swingline I had known and loved when I was back in business before teaching. Well, these two slugs jam all the time, are actually a danger to let students use them as staples get stuck and they try to un-jam the unit and risk hurting themselves. Sorry Swingline, you must have outsourced to some new manufacturer with NO quality control.Read more

The absolute worst. They should consider shipping these out with peanut butter, cuz all they do is jam. I’ve been teaching for years, and have never wasted money on a product so disappointing. What used to be an awesome brand, reliable and dependable, has now become a prime example of shoddy craftsmanship.Read more

Constantly jams ever time I use it. I checked and I’m using the correct staples. By the time I got it out to use it, it was too late for any return options. Just threw it in the garbage today. I’m a multi tradesman and know how things work, know how to fix things. I made sure that there wasn’t something I was doing or using incorrectly. This thing is just plain garbage. Do not waste your money.Read more

I’ve owned Swingline before and they were really the best. Not so much anymore. This particular model must have some kind of defect because they “might” staple okay once or twice, then they jam with a staple stuck in the head. We had used this model at the store I worked at and I thought it was because we overused them or the other employees were just careless with them, but apparently they just don’t work well at all. Even brand new out of the box, it started jamming. I got another one thinking maybe it was just a fluke, and that too started jamming after a couple of staples (no more than 2 pages of regular paper).Read more

What my main complaint is that the staples don’t sit inside of the track like normally staplers. It just uses the staples legs to reset on the track. Because of this when you load separate sets of staples it pushes them together and won’t let you have more than 2 sets in there. It feels like it’s going to fall apart and when you hold it in your hand the top seems to be lose like the thing is open. I wouldn’t recommend. Get a swinglineRead more

Standard classic quality constructed stapler. This thing will withstand the next five generations. Not only can this be used to staple up to 20 pages at once, but you can also use it as a sturdy self-defense weapon against the hordes of zombies breaking down your door during that ill fated summer 2021. If it came in red, I’d be super duper happy. Hell, I’d even move down to the basement.Read more

It’s a nice looking stapler, solid, however, I had previously one (identical) and it’s weak point is the spring inside the loader, it tends to catch in a corner of the mechanism and stretches, once it does, the stapler malfunctions having to open it and reload every other time to staple one staple at a time. It looked like brand new by the outside when it went to the garbage. I bought this one (again) to see if I get better luck this time around.Read more

Classic all metal stapler. One of my professors once told me “It sounds ridiculous but your life will change after buying a good stapler. Make sure to buy at least a 20 page capacity stapler first.”. So at this start of this semester I bought one. The essays are still mind numbingly awful but stapling on the other hand is a breeze. It didn’t change my life per se but at least I don’t have murderous thoughts towards my stapler anymore!Read more
