A baby rat! That poor thing got stuck the morning and struggled to get out. I tried to help by shaking the trap up and down and left and right, but that only got the rat stuck on more sides. Poor thing was squeaking and freaking me out! I had a spider problem but sure wasn’t prepared to deal with rats! Finally I grabbed a bolt that was lying around and peeled it off the interior of the trap. It was quite a traumatizing experience. I felt I got more than what I asked for. I may need counselling.Read more

Spiders and me have an understanding; live and let live until they enter my home, or else! For those spiders that can’t respect my boundaries, sneaking into my bathrobe, lurking along my ceiling, waiting in my bed, we have these neat little glue traps. They’re actually really effective at catching spiders. The glue is strong and traps them instantly. They may struggle a little, which ironically, only tangles them all the more in the glue. These traps used to have a different design. Originally they were perforated to be folded or torn into to pieces, but now it’s 4 pieces. This mean there is less glue on the surface areas, creating a pretty wide gap between trap spots, which has resulted in spiders navigating around the glue area and escaping. I get why they did this, but in creating more options for tearing these, they created a less effective trap. The other thing that kind of annoys is that these traps used to be more invisible. They printed their logo on the regular surface side so these traps could be discreetly placed anywhere. Now they’ve printed their logo under the glue areas, so I see TERRO logos all over the place, which looks really tacky. I like the old design better; they were more effective and less unattractive. I will probably try another brand that will reflect the old design more.Read more

Why in the world would you change a product that is meant to trap insects that like to run along baseboards/floor edges in such a way that there are giant gaps at all the points bugs are most likely to travel. I ended up having to cut the non/sticky edges off and use packing tape to recreate a smaller fully sticky box. Also turns out these are barely sticky – stick to me, scissors, and themselves, but I’ve watched several insects run over the sticky part with ease. So frustrating – clearly need to find a different brand after using this one for 5+ years. Edited to add: After looking at the photos in the listing, I realized they haven’t been updated to reflect the new “design” – which means I probably should’ve tried to return them, as they have misrepresented the product SEVERELY. I’ll never buy this brand again.Read more

Caught a Scorpion!! I wish I had taken a photo. My house is spotless, but living in the desert we have some serious arachnids, spiders, scorpions, centipedes, earwigs, that occasionally creep inside … shiver … Bug sprays do not touch arachnids, their exoskeleton legs tiptoe right through it. Once they wander inside they seem attracted to the shape of these traps because outside they like to crawl inside or under things. I have the traps hidden out of sight near all my doors and rarely have seen a bug in my house since. In the traps yes, but scurrying across the floor, no. Terro is the best brand because it is sticky on all interior sides. I will never be without these again! –The WifeRead more

This product is not what we ordered, the other years we got a solid block of poison, easy to remove the cover paper off the poison, that easily folds into the box. What we got was a strip with 4 separate blocks of poison on it, the paper cover that you take off the poison was impossible to take off, sticky poison ended up all over your hands, the box itself was more difficult to put together, and we order 2 packages with 3 packs of 4 so we should have gotten 12 in in package but we only got 10. Will not order again. Pictures of this product on their ad is not what you get.Read more

I’ve used these Terro spider traps for years and they have always had the glue in a large rectangle covering all but the sides of the cardboard. Just opened these and there are 4 smaller rectangles. I’m assuming these won’t be as likely to catch spiders or small bugs. The front of the package shows exactly what I thought I was getting.Read more

I’ve used other TERRO products and they are great. These are different than the ones I buy at Home Depot. These don’t have glue across the entire midsection. They are meant to be able to separate them and have “refills”. But the actual units dont stick together and then they end up getting caught on things like curtains. The product is good but the design on these particular TERRO sticky sheets is not good. The ones I but at Home Depot are shaped like a tent and they have a slot that you fit the other end into and they stay together. These do not.Read more

I put it up in places where I thought there would be creepy crawlers etc. But it has not caught anything although wife killed a few spiders near and around it. There us nothing there to help lure the bugs, spiders, into it hence I think it just needs pure dumb luck to catch anything. I’m finding I have more luck just happening 5o see one and kill it on my own. And it ain’t cheap for what is basically a glue board…Read more

I had an insect infestation it was really bad. Not the fruit fly this was worse. This fly is vicious and very very very plentiful. This product was the answer to my problem. I recommend it 100%. Worked very fast to clear my home of a nasty pest.Read more
