As someone who had the unfortunate experience of having a bug enter the ear canal while asleep and cause excruciating pain when trying to get out, I developed a paranoia where if I feel anything in my ear I assume it is a bug. In hopes to ease this paranoia I purchases this after seeing the many positive reviews. However, after trying on SEVERAL different phones (Android and Iphones in varying generations) and downloading SEVERAL different apps, none could detect the USB camera. Whats worse is that these “otoscope camera” apps are shady. It quite obvious when the developer name is something like “bubble shooter game” or “otoscope camera”. Majority of the apps were from Chinese developers. Almost all of the apps were rated 3* or lower and some users complained of these apps acting like viruses like having permission to use their microphone where it stays on in the background when not in use. Save yourself the trouble and purchase the digital otoscope that comes with its own display and doesn’t require you to download any app. Personally, I purchased the “Digital Otoscope with 4.5 Inches Screen, Anykit 3.9mm Ear Camera with 6 LED Lights, 32GB Card, Ear Wax Removal Tool, Specula and 2500 mAh Rechargeable Battery, Supports Photo Snap and Video Recording”. All it needed was plug and go. No downloading or any fishy business.Read more

To use this device with iPhone or iPad, you will need to download the app called “USEE” signed by developer Jintao Chen. This app requires you to provide access to all photos on your device for unknown reason. I consider this totally unacceptable from privacy perspective and have to return the device.Read more

Pick one up during the recent Prime Day as part of the ‘Lightning Deals’. Ordered on Tuesday evening and delivered on Thursday 10am. That’s quick considering we are in a (COVID) lock down and all. Overall I am very happy with the purchase. This unit is to replace an old Japanese ear scope (>10 years old) that is no longer working and cost almost twice as much when new. The image is very clear and I had none of the issues reported by others in ‘Reviews’. I am using an iPhone 8 Plus and the software worked as described in the user manual. So 5 stars from me. My only suggestion to improve the product is to mark on the handle, which way is ‘up’ so that the camera can be held with the correct orientation. This is very minor, and all I did was to put a black dot using a permanent marker (Sharpie) .Read more

The product did not work on my iPhone 11 Pro Max and iPhone 6. So I returned the product for a refund. I am sure this is a really good product based on the reviews, but unfortunately It didn’t work with my iPhone.Read more

This otoscope is amazing! My son has had ear problems all his life (he’s 13). I am constantly taking him to the ear doctor for earaches. I had a basic otoscope that just allowed you to look in the ear. It was okay, but nothing special. It just started crapping out on me so I decided to get one that you can look at on your phone/computer. After researching thoroughly, I decided to give this one a try. Am I glad I did! This otoscope came neatly packaged in a little black, semi hard case. It looks like it will be good protection. At first, looking at the instructions, it seemed a bit confusing. But really all you have to do is download the app, turn the otoscope , put the appropriate tip (IPhone, Android) on the cord and plug it into your phone. You’ll immediately see whatever the camera is pointing at. It truly is amazing. I haven’t received any compensation for this review. I paid full price for it. I just had to write how great I think this little doodad is!

This camera did what we wanted it to do. Confirms husband needs to go to the doctor. Not sure what we are seeing but obviously serious ear problem. The challenge using this is everything in video is backwards, so confusing when moving camera around. FYI-the images was a zoom in of cotton qtip in ear. FYI-tried to use again and iphone will not recognize tried on different phones and on ipad using IUVC Pro and USEE.Read more

Sorry for the video of you are sensitive. That video was taken less than 10 min from removing it from box. You can see there is a learning curve with orientation. I learned that I thought I was being so stellar with my qtip by sliding it in and dragging it out. Well it was really causing tears in my ear canal, so I will stop that. Can’t wait for my kids to get home from school. Hope this doesn’t break fast. If so I will do an update.Read more

If you’re one of those people who are obsessed with those earwax videos on YouTube, then this product is for you. You need to download the app on your iPhone in order to use the otoscope. It is easy to use and is always satisfying to see your eardrums. It can be a little difficult to clean your ears because you need to orient yourself, but it’s quite the fun to remove your earwax. The quality and lighting is great.Read more
