It’s a little bit confusing that there are cards for pre-K test through grade 2 tests. I did not give it a thorough look, but I don’t remember seeing indicated on the card itself which test it was meant for. It introduces the concepts nicely, but it would be great if you wouldn’t have to guess which level any given card is for.Read more

These are very nice, quality cards that test spatial concepts commonly found in evaluations for gifted children. I am a school counselor, so while I am somewhat familiar with the tests that my school psychologist utilizes, I can’t say with certainty how similar they would be (plus there are so many types of test kits available). I actually purchased these for use with my own child, because I’m trying to get an idea of where she is at academically to make sure that we are challenging her and providing appropriate levels of enrichment. She is 5 and currently enrolled in kindergarten but reading on a 1st grade level and really appears to be “taking off” with her learning in multiple areas. She loves puzzles and is very creative, so I was not too surprised to find that she enjoys doing these cards with me. She picked up on the different types of “rules” and was able to move through the deck fairly quickly. I have not decided if we will ask for gifted testing, but if we move forward with testing, I will post an update in the future. For now, we are just enjoying playing the cards like a “game” together. She likes this set (spatial concepts) the best because they are actually challenging to her. I initially was hesitant to purchase these due to the price, but I feel that this set was worth the money.Read more

These cards are great. We bought them for our daughter to supplement and promote the problem solving skills she was learning in pre-school. So much better than other cards that only focus on rote memorization. Our deck came with a couple of missing cards, but a quick email to customer service solved that. Some of the friendliest people at that company. The cards are a bit more expensive than other learning decks, but the quality is so much higher and the investment in the future growth of our daughter make them worth it. Given the great experience, we will be buying more.Read more

I like the cards are strong and laminated. My 3 year old daughter had already done a few of them. The pictures are interesting for my active child. I purchased the item as a lightning deal for $17. If I find other sets close to this price I may buy more.Read more

They are very high quality and allow the kid to evolve complexity of the concepts and go back to items that require reinforcement. Really colorful and funny for kids.Read more

We have used testing mom’s products for over 8 years. Our proto-type version of the IQ Fun Park game has been enjoyed by all of our children and was a foundational part of their early education, as well as Karen Quinn’s Testing for Kindergarten book- I still flip through it for tips! We were very excited to find these two different flash card sets on amazon while looking for GT materials. I would recommend Testing Mom’s website as another resource to any parent wanting to find engaging and interesting gifted and talented materials. It is very concise. I’m really looking forward to working on these with the kids. Thank you Testing Mom- we’ve sincerely loved your products!!Read more
