The features of this are just fine. Accuracy seems just OK, temperature of indoor and outdoor when the two units are next to each other is different by about a degree – the tenths in the indicator is silly if the accuracy is as specified as +/- 2.0 degrees F. The big disappointment is the claim of “Waterproof” prominently in the advertising. But on the very first page of the instruction Manual it says “Although the remote sensor is designed to be rain-proof, it still must be always put in a dry place avoiding direct rainfall.” The reason I purchased this is to place the remote on the outside of a camping trailer and there is no place that is both exposed to the elements to sense the temperature, and avoiding direct rainfall or splash from traveling.Read more

I bought this product twice based on so many positive reviews, assuming the first one was a dud, but had the same problem with both. The first time, I followed the directions and charged the batteries more than 4 hours (10 actually, to be sure this was not the problem). However, with the indoor base and outdoor remote sensor sitting right next to each other on the same table, the temperature was 5 degrees different from one another, and the humidity was 16% points different from each other. And this remained essentially the same for an entire day. Completely useless, so I returned it. The 2nd time nearly the same thing happened. I have no idea how they got so many good reviews. Wouldn’t touch this brand again!Read more

The first unit I received read indoor temperatures higher by several degrees compared to my other 3 indoor thermometers, so I had it replaced; second unit was also inaccurate. Specs for the unit indicate a +3 degree temperature tolerance, but I find this unacceptable given the general indoor temperature agreement between my other 3 thermometers. Advertising is also deceptive. Instructions state that “although the remote sensor is designed to be rain-proof, it still must always be put in a dry place avoiding direct rain fall.” But the online Amazon ThermPro images (see photos) show the remote unit hanging from a tree or placed on a gate wall: both locations unprotected from the rain. This is deceptive advertising. I am returning the second unit and will not purchase another ThermPro product.Read more

Decided to try a wireless solution for monitoring the outside temperature as a replacement for our analog “dial” thermometer. Outdoor dial thermometers do not stand up to the very high summer temperatures. Indeed, ours literally melted in the hot afternoon sun. In addition, condensation on the dial face can obscure the numbers on the dial. The ThermoPro 63a provides the exact functionality I was looking for. My one suggestion is to add velcro to the remote sensor to help affix the sensor to the outdoor surface. See photos. The temperature and humidity readings are easy to read. The orange backlight helps improve readability. I have only had the unit for one week but have been happy to this point. The remote sensor does need to be charged before providing accurate readings. The instructions are useful and the set up takes only a few minutes. Although I have only had this product for a short while, I do recommend it as an alternative to outdoor temperature dials.Read more

I was surprised that the outdoor sensor used a USB rechargeable battery. So far it appears to we working fine after 3 weeks of operation. I was concerned that the outdoor sensor battery would require to be charged constantly. I find the temperature and Humidity readings accurate and overall I am happy with my purchase. I like the multiple mounting options.Read more

I was impressed with how well this little champ stays connected with the remote sensor all the way through my stucco walls. The sensor is about 50′ away in the arroyo behind our casa. I still give it 5 stars, because I am generally so happy with it. The only negative is that it can be hard to read in low-light from across the room. It does have a back-light feature, but as best I can figure – you have to touch the little light button at the bottom of the unit to ignite the back-light and it turns itself off after a minute or so. Also of interest to some people: the indoor unit utilizes batteries. The outdoor sensor has a rechargeable lithium battery and requires a charge inside, while plugged into a standard phone charger with the included USB cable. Moral of this story: place the outdoor sensor in a spot it is relatively easy to retrieve for your periodic recharging efforts. It’s been running for several days now with no problems. It will be interesting to see how many weeks/ months I manage to get before I have to bring it in for a re-charge.Read more

I like the compact design and had no trouble setting it up. I took the advice of previous reviewers and added two fresh double AA batteries and fully charged the outside unit before setting it up. So far the temperature seems to be accurate. I live in the valley area where it gets very hot in the summer and I also have a whole house fan, so when the outside temperature drops below the inside temperature, I turn off the A/C and open up the house. Works great that way.Read more

I purchased this as a replacement to looking at my phone on the weather app and i’m a very pleased. At a glance i know whether it’s hot and humid or dry or cold. I’m most impressed by the reliability. I’ve owned cheap wireless thermometers in the past and i did not like the experience. So far so good with this unit. Outside emitter is rechargeable, which seems odd at first but i’ll have to see how reliable that is in the future. It’s only mounted using a screw or nail head. I used weather resistant 3M double sided tape to stick it outside a window because i live at the 4th floor. Make sure to keep the USB cable in a safe place because it is not universal. The display feature a large magnet and a screw hook for easy placement and it uses alkaline batteries. The rear button let you see 24h min/max as well as all-time min/max. There is a reset button for that also.Read more

I would NOT recommend this vendor. Nowhere on the sales pitch was mentioned the placement of the external transmitter. It was not until I opened the package and read the installation manual did I realise that there are significant restrictions on placement. I tried to return the purchase, but the supplier denied my request as the package had been opened. Be aware of these restrictions. The product is excellent, but the service from this particular vendor is less than satisfactory and I would recommend NOT dealing with them.Read more

Love ThermoPro products. This one seems accurate, the indoor and outdoor reading are almost the same when put next to each other. The display is easy to read, no backlight needed, probably because it’s not a touchscreen. What is also good is that when you let it cycle through the channels it only shows the channels that are connected.Read more

The real test will come in winter. We do get temperature’s that are +/- 2 of – 30oC. That will be the acid test. Also this lost 1 star because at – 30 I may have to go out and provide a charge for the transmitter. It comes with a USB chord for charging. I’m just not sure it will last until next spring before needing said charge.Read more

Got this for my parents and they are so happy with it. Very accurate, we have the sensor outside under the verandah and they love seeing the difference from inside to outside during Aussie summers especially! Much more accurate than our old one and great value too.Read more
