I wish I could give a zero stars rating for these pellets. I’ve been smoking on a pellet grill for years and these are the worst pellets you can use. They do not tell you there is no actual Mesquite wood in their pellets. In fact, none of the flavors listed have that actual type of wood in them. They use a base of alder and then treat the pellets with oils to produce the flavor they proclaim to be. I felt really stupid when I found this out as I had spent hundreds of dollars on Traeger pellets. When I actually found some 100% mesquite pellets I could not believe the difference, it was night and day. The flavor of the meats coming out of the grill improved 10 fold. Do yourself a favor and spend a few extra dollars and find an actual 100% mesquite product, I use Lumberjack brand. If it doesn’t say 100% mesquite you are getting something less than you want.Read more

Yep, if you read up on these, they may be hardwood but NOT (much of) the aromatic species (hickory) advertised. I sent it all back. Be forewarned. Lumberjack pellets are better.Read more

I’ve Bought the “blend” pellets twice and have had bad luck each time. Once I purchased from Costco and once from Amazon. Both times these pellets have turned to dust in the hopper and clogged up the grill. I’ve never had the other pellets such as mesquite or hickory break down like this. From now on I’m gonna avoid the blend variety.Read more

We opened the bag and the pellets smelled old and stale. We either got a bag that was years old that had been sitting on the shelf forever, or this product is just plain bad. We still tried to use them in our smoker to see how they burned, thinking once they lit we’d smell that familiar wood flavor. Nope. There was absolutely NO smell at all. Completely useless. We emptied our hopper of these pellets and threw the bag away.Read more

So you read the label and description “100% natural hardwood” “No fillers” “No artificial ingredients” and of course you think you are getting 100% mesquite right? Well GUESS AGAIN. Traeger is using just cheap oak or alder wood and then adds oils to give them the supposed flavor of wood on the label. How these oils don’t count as unnatural or filler I don’t know. What I know is that Traeger has been hit with a class action lawsuit for this fact(google Traeger class action lawsuit) which I wish the consumers win. Tried those and tried real mesquite and the difference is night and day. Do not support a dishonest company like that.Read more

These pellets are CRAP. we have used Traegers Hickory Pellots from Costco and had ZERO issues. Well, with these (we bought the apple wood through amazon) our traeger caught fire TWICE! it was pretty scary! These pellots look more like that cheap pressed wood that you find in old kitchen cabinets. The pellot size is incredibly uneven with I feel posed a problem in the burning processed. They turned into wood dust after just putting them into the hopper. We had smoke coming out the hopper which we know is NOT NORMAL! my husband and I ended up pulling the meat out and completely cleaning out the traeger and found what we believed to be the problem. The hopper was COVERED had a full layer of sawdust inside. Luckily that didnt catch on fire as well! Long story short we wont be using these pellots again. Big fast waste of money. Ended up finishing the turkey in the oven. Big disappointment.Read more

Used this bag to smoke a brisket on my Traegers maiden smoke. The brisket came out absolutely perfect. Granted I had never smoked anything before and the brisket didn’t come off the Traeger until 3am. But that’s not the pellets fault. The 3am dinner I had was delicious. I was exhausted but it was delicious. Likewise I’ve been eating the leftovers for the better part of the last week. However, I will note the cost. The 20lb bag of pellets from Traeger and on Amazon is $18.99. The 33lb bag from Costco is $19.99. I will note that these apparently are a good combo of pellets, rather than just buying a bag of specific flavor pellets until you get your bearings with the smoker.Read more

Bought these for my Traeger Junior, I was buying the ones that Costco sells, but these have the same woods in them, and seem to be identical. Saves me a trip to Costco, and these are delivered right to my door for about the same price. Highly recommend.Read more

I’m a big Traeger fan and user. I usually buy my pellets from Amazon due to the competitive pricing and good selection, unless I run out unexpectedly (which doesn’t happen often). They ship super fast so waiting is never and issue. One bag usually lasts me around 3-4 weeks and is almost comparable to the amount of time you’ll get out of a tank of propane unless you’re actually slow smoking a lot of stuff. I use my pellets and smoker for everything but high temp searing since the flavour is so much better. Never use non-Traeger pellets in my smoker. Great product!Read more

Bin also sehr zufrieden.Read more

This is perfect for beef and you should also try mesquite. Both are good. Stay away from apple, it’s not bad, just not traditional smoked favor.Read more

The flavor on my pork and fish was not bad. It is just that pecan and mesquite are so much better.Read more

Good smoking pellets for my smoker. I like to mix different pellets together. I like to use hickory, cherry, mesquite and apple. Good experimenting makes for perfection!Read more
