Bought a used trumpet, and decided to give it a full “bath” before our first concert. Just don’t forget to remove pieces carefully, do not get any felt pieces wet, track which pieces you remove and maybe take photos as you go. And watch a video before you start if this is your first time deep cleaning a trumpet! The kit itself was very handy- it had the brushes of just the right size for all the nooks in our trumpet, it had slide grease and oil for when we reassembled it, and the white gloves were nice for when we polished it with the included cloth. I like that the long brush on a wire had padded tips so it doesn’t scratch inside the instrument, and that it had a brush on both ends so you could go whichever direction felt easier. The included directions on card stock were clear, but I still felt better after watching a video of a trumpet cleaning because I’m a visual learner.Read more
