I wanted an inexpensive watercolor set with lots of different colors and ended up with this one. There are 36 colors to choose from and the paint quality is pretty good. I am a beginner but I have Winsor & Newton Cotman Water Color paints also and I can’t see a whole lot of difference between the two.Read more

I love the vibrant colors that are in this palette and have so been enjoying using these colors for a coloring book I have. The reason I give it 4 stars is due to the terrible packaging – just in opening it one time, a huge crack appeared in the clear plastic top and as I’m using it, the top very easily comes off from the bottom and it’s annoying when you try to close it most of the time. However since I’m keeping it in one place and not traveling anywhere with it, it’s not a huge issue for me.Read more

This had a great selection of colors. Worked nicely on paper but my only hesitation to keeping and one that was a dealbreaker in the end was the fact that it smelled so toxic it was hard to use. I couldn’t handle painting for longer than 10 minutes. I tried again another day and again didn’t last long. It was so overpowering that I chose to return it even though I really wanted to keep it for the other perks. If you can get by with smell and or have a poor sense of smell then go for it. Unless of course you feel uncomfortable with the idea of ingesting something that could possibly be toxic. I’m not saying it is. But if it smells that bad it makes you wonder.Read more

The first question on every mother’s mind is “will this show up on construction paper?” The answer is “Yes!” We paint on construction paper pretty much all the time around here and what I love about these paints is they are opaque enough to carry the pigment on the paper after they dry. When you’re painting with them it can look a little muddy, but if you don’t saturate the paper too much it will dry to a chalky color that shows up great against the construction paper surface. The packaging is really pretty with the removable lid that can serve as a pallet and the clean white wells of color. My girls ages three and five are delighted with this set and the vividness of the watercolor. The other brands we had been using never ended up as brightly colored in the final results.Read more

The colors are good. They will not get out of clothes anymore so be aware of that. To me the colors always turn out different on paper than they look like in the case.Read more

These are wonderful! I got them for my toddlers, but I have definitely used them as well. I was expecting pale colors that might flake off. But the saturation is surprisingly good! I painted this card that I gave to a friend (see pic). They layered fine and could be lifted like regular watercolors. Now keep in mind, these are by no means professional paints. But for $5, you can’t beat it if you’re just doodling around with watercolors. I did find them easier to use when I use a little spray bottle and spritz all the colors right at the beginning. I actually bought another one so 3 kids don’t need to share one tray. I highly recommend these for kids, beginners, and crafters.Read more
