I ordered the replacement wheels according to my Kenmore Elite Dishwasher parts number. When they arrived I installed the new wheel brackets and found they drop the lower basket onto the lower spray arm. I then removed the brackets and laid them beside the old brackets are found they were shorter. There are 2 heights of brackets; 1 is 2.83″ high and the other is 3.47″ high.Read more

I bought these for a Maytag mdb8969sdm0 where two sets of wheels kept falling off. Specifically it was the cheap plastic cog that holds the wheel in place that fell out constantly. The only factory replacement for the wheels I found was $35. Getting a set of four for 1/2 that price is a great deal. The factory part is obviously garbage and I can’t tell any difference between these and the original. They fit perfectly and roll just fine. Maybe they break as often but even so they are a much better deal. On a related note – my neighbors built their house in 1979 and had new for the time appliances installed. When they sold it in 2010 all the 1979 appliances were still there and working perfectly. I assume the dishwasher wheels were fully intact. Meanwhile in 5 years my modern Maytag has multiple wheels falling off and flooded once due to a defective valve.Read more

Bought dishwasher less than three years ago. Wheels started falling off lower rack on KitchenAid when it was less than a year old. Have spent the last two years hoisting the rack in and out, figuring it would cost a fortune to fix. On a whim, googled dishwasher replacement wheels. Couldn’t believe my eyes! Fifteen bucks, and I can now roll the rack in and out! I’m a mechanical dunce, so it took me a couple of tries to figure out that the tabs need to be slipped under the horizontals before snapping the unit in place. Not the product’s fault, though a bit more instruction would help. All in all, I’m thrilled to pieces.Read more

Sadly, ‘cheap’ seems to be the order of the day for things like these wheels as installed from the factory. Don’t get me started on our high-end expensive fridge with it’s POS door ice dispenser already replaced once that was evidently designed by a high-school intern, but I digress … Our dishwasher is run *minimum* once per day year round, and the factory wheels lasted about two years before they just wouldn’t stay on. Amazon to the rescue! The problem with the factory wheel assembly design is not that it’s cheaply made, per se, but that the tiny little plastic lip holding the wheel ‘axle’ tabs in place on the inner side is just barely there, and the slightest wear over time and it’s guaranteed the wheels will start coming off as you pull and push the loaded lower rack in and out. It would be SO easy to just make that restraining lip a bit larger and the problem would be solved. These replacement wheel assemblies fit perfectly. To remove the old units: basically turn the empty rack upside down on a table and pull UP. One or more of them might be stubborn and require a cuss word or two, but they should basically come off by pulling nearly straight up (with the rack upside down). To install these new units: put the assembly into place on the wire frame and push the middle of the unit (with NO PRESSURE on the wheels!) straight down until it snaps into place. You don’t have to turn it or do multiple motions to line things up – put into place and push down with a positive motion. One motion up to remove, one motion down to snap the new unit into place. Don’t overthink this!

Same problem as everyone else, original wheel assemblies on the lower rack lasted about 5 years before the wheels started falling off. A single OEM wheel assembly was $32 at a competitor’s website. This set of all four wheel assemblies was $18, a huge savings. These are made in China and appear to be a good copy of the original. They were easy to replace, old ones snap out, new ones snap in. The lower rack slides in and out normally again so I’m happy. We will see how long these last.Read more

Installed easily and I was immediately disappointed as the wheels did not rotate, but slid as I moved the rack into and out of my dishwasher. Freely spinning the OEM wheels on another corner and these indicates that there’s way too much friction in the plastic bushing, causing the materials to easily bind under the weight of the rack. Whether it’s the material or the finish, it’s a bad design. What will happen is that these things will eventually develop a flat spot on the bottom of the wheel from wear over time and cause problems down the road. Seeing that these are wheels and they don’t rotate – 1 star rating. Will be returning.Read more

  7. Busy Reader: Get To The Point

They installed in 5 minutes, just snap on like Legos and now our bottom rack glides like a swan. It costs us $100 for a repairman to walk through the door and I think a new rack would cost $90. The wheels were all we needed. Get them, you’ll love them!Read more

These wheels arrived quickly and were easy to install. Unfortunately, they don’t seem to turn properly. The weight of the dishwasher rack causes the center bolt to rest against the bottom portion of the wheel, creating resistance and inhibiting the wheel from turning. Maybe our dishwasher (Kenmore 665.13222N412) just has an exceptionally heavy rack? The part snapped right into place, but I feel like I’m dragging the rack with locked wheels now. It’s better than what I had before–the little bolts were popping out and the wheels were falling off every time I pulled the rack out! I guess locked wheels are better than no wheels, but I had hoped this would be a better solution.Read more
