T5 SSD could not be recognized by Windows 10 when attached to the 20ft cable. Adding a powered USB 3 hub at the SSD end of the cable allowed it to be recognized, but it ended in I/O errors. The SSD works flawlessly without this 20ft cable. A flash drive test did work, with a Windows reporting a read/copy speed of something like 150m/sec (rather than direct-connect typical 200m/sec). This cable will probably be just fine for typical USB 2.0 printers and scanners, which is what this purchase was intended for.Read more

My CPU is about 10 feet away from my monitor/ webcam so I needed a USB extension to make the cable for my NexiGo 1080P 60FPS Webcam longer and it works great. I read several reviews for other USB extensions saying they didn’t work with webcams. I guess the signal gets weak if it has to travel to far. Luckily the 12’ extension worked for me. In wasn’t about to rearrange my entire office.Read more

Needed a USB extension that was 20ft so I could have it come up from the floor, and prior extensions would drop the signal with the demand of the RGB lights. This USB extension has not dropped signal once with the lighting set to maximum on a chromatic spectrum. Very nice and sturdy feeling (prior 15ft that worked was about half as thick and had the connection break) I cannot attest to it being USB 3.0, but it definitely has the capability to charge. It may even be able to run an unpowered backup drive.Read more

What makes this extremely useful for me is that I have my laptop set up in a a walk in closet as a workspace, and have a long hdmi cable connecting it to my tv. With this extension cird you can easily hook up a wireless dongle and be all connected up. What I have found is the best use is to couple this with an unpowered usb hub, it provides enough power to power a condenser microphone or headset as well as other usb accessories. The make is extremely sturdy, i admittedly need to do some cable management so I’ve stepped on it accidentally repeatedly but it is still working like a champ!Read more

I was concerned that the 20 ft length may be too long, but no issues. I use it to tether and charge my iPhone, which is connected to a router in my RV. I wanted 20 ft so that I can move the iPhone around for the strongest signal. It’s a lot to ask of the cable to be able to send data at a high speed to the modem.Read more

I bought 3 of these cables from this seller and they didn’t hardly work at all. All three cables fluctuated back and forth between severe drop-offs or absolutely no connection whatsoever. The cables “seemed” sturdy which is too bad because they would be pretty nice cables if they weren’t utterly defective. I also have NO IDEA how the seller managed to sell me three of the same thing and yet ALL of them were practically none functional … Major red flag. I have just processed a return for these items. Props to Amazon.com for a quick, responsive no hassle return process. Thumbs down, however to XXone for selling me three defective products.Read more

This cable was to be used with a third Oculus tracking sensor in the back of my VR room. While the signal is stable, it is not being recognized as USB 3. While, technically, fine for a third sensor, it is not ideal. Having said that, I’ve had no problems with tracking with the back sensor running at USB 2 speeds. Turns out that going beyond 10-15ft (TOTAL) is pretty much not going to happen at USB 3 speeds without a powered USB hub in the middle. Which is not possible with this cable, since one end is female. And this is a 20ft EXTENSION in addition to the 6ft of the tracking sensor’s cable. Be warned. You WILL NOT get full USB 3 speeds with this cable. On the positive side, the connectors are quality and the cable itself is thick and sturdy.Read more
