Due to insufficient ports on my laptop, I purchased this usb hub on Amazon. This product can expand a USB A port into 1 USB 3.0 port and 2 USB 2.0 ports,which can basically meet my daily needs. I mainly talk about my feelings about using this usb hub. Advantages: Because this usb hub is very small,only the size of one of my fingers,it takes up no space at all and is very suitable for carrying around. I tested that the transfer speed of the USB 3.0 port is much faster than the transfer speed of USB 2.0. The mouse,keyboard,wireless Bluetooth adapter,and mobile phone can be connected and used normally after plugging into this USB port. NO connection failed. Because this USB Hub does not consume power,I usually do not unplug it.At the same time,this USB Hub is plug and play,and it can be plugged into any device that supports USB A interface.It does not need to install any other drivers or software.It is very easy to use.If you think that the ports are insufficient and you need multi usb port,I think this product is very suitable. Disadvantages:Because this USB extender port is designed for data transmission and expansion ports,if you want to use this product to charge your phone,then I do not recommend you to buy this small usb hub.This usb port supports charging,but the charging speed is very slow.I plug it into my laptop and then plug it into my phone to charge it.It takes a whole day to fully charge the phone. Works basically as advertised. It is incredibly cheaply made, the female USB 3.0 port is held on to the PCB purely by the soldered data pins, and the external metal casing of the female USB 3.0 port is not even grounded when it should be. All the other ports only have a single solder joint applied. This would make this hub quite fragile and very susceptible to wear and tear just to save a few cents on soldering, I wouldn’t be surprised if people have broken it by just plugging devices in and out of it regularly. The way the USB 3.0 port works is kind of cursed, the microcontroller basically lies about its device descriptor claiming to be USB 3.0 compatible, and then super speed lanes are just directly passed through hoping that the other side of the device actually has a USB 3.0 compatible device. What this means is that the handshake is unsuccessful if there is no USB 3.0 device on the other end. Basically that means you cannot hotplug USB 3.0 devices if you want USB 3.0 speeds. You have to plug in the USB 3.0 device into the hub first, and then plug the hub into your computer to achieve USB 3.0 speeds. The microcontroller seems to do a good enough job of switching USB 2.0 though, I got expected USB 2.0 speeds with this hub. I’m intending to use this USB hub for a electronics project, and it actually completely fulfills my needs while being quite cheap, so overall I’m happy with it. I need a usb hub to plug at back of my monitor. I have 2 usb port at back of my monitor. 1 for windows hello camera, other one for BenQ ScreenBar( light bar on top the monitor). I was thinking to put wireless mouse and wireless keyboard ( wireless usb dongle) to the back of my monitor, but running out the usb port. This one work just fine. I have my mouse and keyboard’s dongle at 2 usb 2.0 port ( color black) and the windows hello cam( Logitech Brio Ultra HD) may use more power so I plugged in to the usb 3 port( color blue). they all works fine.Read more

Because of my work,I often need to take my laptop for business trips,but the ports of my laptop are always not enough. This usb hub is small,but it provides enough usb ports.It has both usb 3.0 port and usb 2.0 port,I tested the usb 3.0 port, the transmission speed is several times faster than the usb 2.0 port, which can improve my work efficiency very well. I plug the bluetooth adapter of my wireless mouse and the usb interface of the keyboard into it. Bad design and flimsy plastic case. Should have been fairly obvious when I was buying it, so that’s on me. Anything plugged into the outer port will act like a lever and pull the usb plug down – plastic case splits like the cheap garbage that it is and the inner components bend under the stress. Just a cheap, bad design. I suppose you could prop it to try to prevent this, but it just doesn’t seem worth it when you could get a cabled usb splitter instead.Read more

At first I thought that all ports are usb 3.0 ports. The seller also wrote very clearly that is a usb 3.0 port and two usb 2.0 ports. I misunderstood it, but it doesn’t matter.
