Dad’s Den Reviews –
The media could not be loaded. Hi and welcome to another Dad’s Den Review. My name is Ken Lee and I do tech reviews on YouTube. If you would like to see more of my tech reviews, you can search Dad’s Den Reviews on YouTube and you will find my channel. Recommendation: My star rating for reviews here on Amazon depend on the price and quality of the product for the price that was paid. In this case, for the price, I give the Sudotack mic a 5 star rating. I don’t think you will find a usb plug and play microphone on the market that has as good of a quality sound than this. Sure there are other studio mic sets out there that might sound a bit better, but you will be paying a high price for those. So again, for this price, I would definitely recommend this microphone. I have attached a video if you would like to see all of my thoughts for this review. Thank you very much. Dad’s Den (Ken Lee)Read more

The media could not be loaded. This mic just makes your voice sound nice and smooth right out of the box, and that’s with no post processing. Great for podcasts and live-streams. If you want to use this for voice overs just adding a touch of EQ and this sounds as good as my Blue Spark, which is a $200 mic. This is my favorite new mic because it’s just so easy to plug it in and just rock. This is a solid little mic, literally, all metal build this thing was built to last.Read more

I just purchased this microphone for some amateur podcasting. This is what I have noticed so far: Pros: – Honestly the sound quality of this matches or surpasses the top-rated podcasts that I listen to. It doesn’t sound tin-y at all. The only way I can describe the sound is full and of depth. I don’t have a fancy studio set-up, I just mounted it at my bar counter and it sounds great! – The kit comes with everything you need: microphone stand; shock mount; pop-filter; windscreen cap; USB cable; table clamp; and the microphone itself. And for a little over $60 this is a steal. Cons: – Although the sound quality is good, you do have to be mindful of background noise. The mic picked up small sounds such as my bracelet rattling when I moved my arms. So, wherever you record should be a space where you’ll get minimal background interruptions. – The mic stand absolutely SUCKS. It is very cheaply made. Some parts of the mic stand do not match the instruction booklet, making assembly a bit of a guessing game. And once everything was mounted, my microphone kept weighing down the stand no matter how tightly I had it clamped and secured, and my pop filter wouldn’t stay propped up. I may end up purchasing a separate pop filter and mic stand. – When I played back some of my recordings, I did notice a static sound toward the end of them. I still haven’t figured out if this is a mic issue, or a playback system issue.Read more

Let’s just say, I’ve used more microphones in the past including the $110 Blue Yeti, and this microphone performs just as good if not better at half the price. On top of that, it comes with a pop filter, an adjustable arm for your desk, a shock mount, and the microphone itself is high quality. I use it for my YouTube channel (Nerdish YT) and it has become my main microphone. I’ve used it to record Tech Reviews, Gameplay commentary and livestreams, and podcasts. You can start using it as soon as you plug it in. I use a free program called Audacity, and it works perfectly with this mic. It’s how I record all the audio in my videos. It’s great for every single one. I would expect this microphone to cost around $100. I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a great audio source for a low price.Read more

I ordered this for my nephew and this was such a good buy for what he wanted. We selected this set because it was highly recommended here on Amazon and on Youtube tech channels. This set did not disappoint and is a useful source for professional and beginner/intermediate level use for podcast or streaming. For the price point, you are getting descent sound quality. It doesn’t crack or make popping/crackling noise if adjusted correctly. The recordings/sound have little to no static and does a good just cancelling low-frequency noises when you’re in a fairly insolated/quiet room. You may still run into some sound quality issues in a loud noisy room, this isn’t perfect (although no mic 100% cancels out all noises). This is a good starter to intermediate level set and comes with everything you need to get started. I have other audio sources that are 10x’s this price but I would still recommend this for someone starting out because the audio/sound is still good. The equipment is easy to assemble, stays firming on your desk, and hasn’t fallen off or given us any adjusting issues. Great audio source for newbies, I hope this helps :)Read more

I do a lot of podcasting and appear weekly on the radio so I was hoping to upgrade my at-home sound quality–my current setup is hacked together from the analog mobile studio. This ain’t it. The mic has about the same range as the toy recorder we got for my 3-year-old son. Tried every setting imaginable, called in an audio expert, and he took one look at the thing and said “Return that; your phone has a better microphone.” Duly noted.Read more

Love this mic! It picks up my voice with no problems for my podcast! It even pics up my ice falling from my ice maker in the background! However if you have a lighter voice you have to be on top of it for it to catch your voice. I’ve done episodes with other people who dont have voices as heavy as I do (I’m a woman) and the mic barely picks them up even with them on top of it and I could be across the room. But i make it work. I’m contemplating buying a second one just for mypodcast episodes when I have guests on with me.Read more

The stand is really sturdy and stable and has good audio quality. My problem is despite having the microphone designed for 1 way intake of sound, it still easily picks up keyboard and mouse sounds which is a bit annoying. Especially for recording and streaming. The thing that makes me a bit confused is my microphone did not have the SUDOTACK logo on it anywhere.Read more

sounds like an expensive mic, plug and play so it’s easy to setup, the only issues are the joints and the vice it uses to hold onto your desk, a bit flimsy and don’t hold for long periods. other than that it’s an incredible beginner mic! definitely pick it up for quality on a budgetRead more
