They tell you to “disable your antivirus before going to install the driver”. Not being a trusting soul, I tried to go to their website and install the driver before I did that. Guess what? My antivirus immediately went off when I clicked to get the driver and refused to allow me to continue because the site it tries to connect to is black listed as an attack site. This was immediately returned.Read more

The S640 is a wonderful tablet. I’d even consider traveling with it. I’ve only had it for 3 days but I’ve been charmed by how functional and useful it is. I’m not gonna lie, I was put off a little at first by how small it was. I definitely don’t feel that way anymore. It’s been awhile since I’ve used a graphics tablet (approximately a year and a half) because I got an iPad. While the iPad is good for on the go, the price is insanely higher. I got my iPad many years after using a few different graphic tablets. So, what I’m trying to say is, while I do enjoy my iPad, I also really enjoy this tablet. It’s super smooth to draw on, the pen is really nice and it’s super quick to install! Would I suggest this tablet? To put it simply, yes, I would. To all levels of artists. It’s cheap, great quality and it’s very portable. The only thing I personally have a small issue with is that the cord isn’t removable. The tablet is affordable enough to by another one if something happens to the cord though. The shipping was pretty fast for me and I ended up getting it around noon or so two days after I ordered it. I also wanted to add, I really like how sleek the design of the tablet is. The pen is also really nice to hold. Anyway, thank you for reading my review and I hope that you’ll give this tablet a chance. ^^Read more

Pros: –Extremely slim and sturdy –Absolutely no pen charging to deal with –Includes spare tips for pen and a nice felt case –Does not require included drivers for basic functionality –Pretty much plug-and-play –Supports pen hovering Cons: –Pen nib is squeaky. –Pen buttons are finicky I feel like this drawing tablet deserves 5 stars mostly because its an awesome, minimalist design that I found damn attractive. It seems well thought-out, from the nice L-shaped rubber feet on all the corners to the stiff, yet yielding fiberglass that it seems to be built on. It just looks and feels nice. It’s also super-light if you need to travel with it, and obviously its ridiculously thin. Along with the travel idea, not needing batteries for the tablet OR the pen has been more useful than I thought it would be. It’s just nice to not worry about changing any batteries or bring a charger. As far as functionality goes, it gets the job done, if with a little less posh than other brands. With basic windows drivers and without the store-supplied drivers, it works just like a mouse where the rectangle of the board matches up exactly with the rectangle of your main screen. A nice extra here is that you can hover the pen above the board without touching it to move the mouse without clicking, making it waaaay easier to position the mouse that some other boards I’ve tried. There is almost 0 delay or latency in the few apps I’ve tried like Fresh Paint, OneNote, and Photoshop. My only complaints are that the pen feels a little light when writing, and the pen tip sinks in while pressing down. Obviously that’s to help with pressure sensitivity, but it can be disconcerting. Seriously, though. For this price (around $26 when I bought it) to get a fully functioning board with a pressure sensitive pen and all the nice design features and portability is awesome. Definitely a great deal, even if only to try out drawing tablets in general. It makes a good starter board because it works without custom drivers and is rather easy to use.Read more

I bought it to see if it met my needs to make new digital art as a beginner, but this tablet is great start for a very low price of $25. Good for anyone wanting to start doing entry level digital art than most Wacom products I’ve used in the past. *Pros* – Minimal, yet sleek design. Great to travel. – Responsive at most times. – Compatible with Photoshop and other image software. – Connectivity through USB 2.0 attached to the tablet is very nice with full functionality. Works with any desktop whether it’s prebuilt or custom made and laptops. (Remember to install the driver for this tablet in Admin Mode.) -Pen feels fluid, and a bit relaxing to draw strokes depending how fast I can go. *Cons* Be aware of annoying jitters if you install the driver normally without Admin Mode. They will distract the drawing further. Always make sure that it’s ran in admin mode to alleviate that problem. It happened to me once on my first S640 as I didn’t know what I was doing, but my second one worked well with very little to almost no jitters doing this method. – Slight issue with the squeaking sound emitted from the tip of the pen to the surface of the S640. It was bothersome a bit, but I bear with it due to how many strokes I draw. **Overall** I think the S640 is a great choice for beginners looking to draw digital art for the first time or those who want to transition from physical art and having to scan which saves time. Despite its very small and portable size, $25 is a good price that is fully worth what you get. If anyone is looking to buy a cheap drawing tablet, then this is for you as I recommend it.Read more

As a beginner Osu! player and hobby artist, I felt like upgrading my tablet to a bigger active area from my current tablet. After looking through YouTube videos and pros such as a battery-less pen with great sensitivity I had always had my eye on a Viekk tablet but never picked one up, until just recently. When opening the box the packaging was flawless, no issues, plugged in the tablet and it worked near instantly. The software was easy to find and set up. After I found my active area I got onto Osu! to give it a test run and it worked immaculately. I didn’t notice any input delay and using a battery-less pen makes life much easier with a light pen. To summarise the Viekk S640 is a lightweight tablet with a large active area at 4×6 inches and good for traveling with. I mainly use this for Osu! and have had no issues with it, overall a very nice tablet.Read more

Really small but perfect size, the writing canvas is small but yet gives complete control of the entire screen the pen as no batteries and really light the only drawback is were the power cable comes out of it should have been at the side not the top causing a small amount of discomfort when you place it under your key board.Read more

Bought this tablet to play osu casually. Was happy with it up until 14 days after the return bracket closed. As I was playing the pen started rattling and silver circle things came out of the tip of the pen. After closer inspection I noticed that the tablet itself is scratched up considerably and the pen’s inbuilt buttons have stopped working along with the pen not working as the pen had the right key stuck down. I am quite appalled at what has happened and would like to get a refund or a fixed tabletRead more

I originally bought this tablet for Osu, when the tablet arrived i was shocked by how well it was packaged, the presentation of the tablet was most defienelty a big thumbs for a very well built tablet. When opening i was presented by a very well built tablet and pen, the pen came with extra 8 nips just in case i lose them. I am writing a review after 2 months of use and i am extremely happy that i purchased this i have not had any probelsm yet and am hoping to use other future veikk products.Read more
