Total garbage!! First the chainsaw safety pad is ONLY in 1 hand (Left)…not good when you handle the chainsaw with your left hand. Though they look well made the fall apart quickly. Nearly 10 holes after only second time I wore them. AND not even when using my chain. Just a machete and bow saw to do some brush clearing. My $5 work gloves are so much more comfortable AND DURABLE. Don’t waste your $$ on these!!Read more

I’m a woman who recently bought a chainsaw and wanted appropriate protective gear. I normally wear a size medium in unisex disposable lab gloves (which seems to match up with the chainsaw glove size chart) but was having trouble finding anyone who actually sells chainsaw gloves in size medium. Reviews here indicated that the Large runs small, so I ordered Large and tried it. Very pleased with the result. The fingers are slightly longer than I need, but not enough to be cumbersome or get in my way of securely controlling the chainsaw. In terms of width, the gloves could fit a slightly larger hand than mine, but they feel comfortable and certainly don’t feel loose. Overall, once I have the gloves on and start using the chainsaw, the fit is good enough that I don’t notice the gloves at all and am just focused on the actual chainsawing. Exactly how protective gear should feel! Overall I’d recommend these as a decent fit for a woman with medium-sized hands.Read more

The gloves are well made and are reasonably priced. Really an excellent glove from what I can tell. One star off for size. I have large hands and, based on other reviews mentioning the fit is tight, got extra large. I can confirm that the extra large is not extra large – just large. Alas. The fit is a bit tight, especially the little finger. So – great glove for the small to medium hand crowd. Ok for large hands. Look for something else if you need real deal extra large.Read more

These lack cuffs and so are better for warm-weather use, but they seem to be pretty decent gloves. Most gloves fit me in XL and these are not an exception. They fit great, and the Velcro wrist strap secures them well. I think they might even be real leather in spots, but won’t know for sure until they get more wear. There’s synthetic “leather-like” material in the palms, but it seems fine. I don’t know if the left glove’s chain protection is worth anything, but I assume that it isn’t. There’s no label for any rating, UL or otherwise. And the pad is pretty small, so I doubt that it has enough material to bind up my saw. I bought these to help me hold onto the tool so I don’t hit myself with it.Read more

(Update: I’ve used them for 8 hours and they’re already worn out) The gloves are poor attempt at making a better price point for safety gloves, it’s a miss on all levels. I have used better gloves (considerably better) at a higher price point. There is generally nothing proprietary about the expensive glove’s safety features so I had hoped this might be a good mix of price and features, making loss/theft of gloves less bothersome. I found the gloves to be very poorly designed and executed, even at the price point I feel I’ve overpaid. They’re overly stiff in the stitching quality is very subpar. Worse yet is coming back to reread the description only to see it state it should not get exposure to direct sunlight.Read more

It is not the glove I spected. It has almost no protection. If you accidentally touch the chainsaw with the glove, I am sure the glove will be destroyed. It is very weak. I bought 2 pairs, and in both cases, the right hand glove has no protection, and the other glove, only a few on the upside part of the glove, but the rest of the glove is a regular glove. It has a good looking style, but just that. As a regular working glove is ok, nothing else.Read more

The gloves look nice but did not hold up to a total of maybe an hour or two of moving logs around. Like with DK’s review I ended up getting a hole in one of the fingers. Why buy chainsaw gloves if they won’t hold up to moving the logs around. I’ll just purchase less “specialized” gloves and not rest the chainsaw blade on the top of my hand. Purchase gloves for half the price that will last longer. Most chainsaws have a breaker bar which prevent the saw from moving even when the trigger is pulled or when you try to move the chain while it’s off. Pros: + Comfortable + looks nice and clean Cons: – Price – Not durable – Does not hold up to moving logs around… these are Chainsaw gloves after all. – Wrists are too looseRead more

These gloves are a very good quality. It is a very thin leather on the front that feels breathable and is easy to feel things through. The right hand is slightly large for me, and the left hand is slightly tight. I was expecting the left hand to be a little tighter but neither glove fits well. The left hand padding makes it hard to completely grasp things. This could be a tad dangerous. The leather on the palm gives a good grip to make up for this. I haven’t actually had an accident to see if the protective layers will work in stopping the chainsaw. Hopefully I won’t ever have that happen. I’m hoping that the left hand will loosen up a bit when it gets more broken in with you. Overall these are made of good quality. It does have a very uneven fit between the left and right hands though.Read more

I cut a lot of wood and use about 4 bush cord a year. Then, farm maintenance and chainsaw construction projects. My stihl 56cc came with a good pair of gloves. They got old so I ordered these, couldn’t get sthil. Fit. I wear lg but reading reviews I bought XL. The right glove is fine. The left one with the “protective ” insert on the back is tight enough, my hand numbs. And why is there an insert anyway? Construction- the suede fabric on the back on the wrist should have been used on the palm inserts as well Instead a durable but SLIPPERY nylon was used. Definite not for good secure grip. There is no padding of any sort to mitigate vibration and ” chainsaw ” hand. Not a suitable glove for saw/bush work. It’s going back. As well no point of manufacture on product. I have had these for a week and used the twice. Quality is absolute junk. I wear a large in any other glove and they fit somewhat loose, where as these in a large fit incredibly tight. As I said I’ve used them twice around my yard, cutting with my saw and light yard work/gardening. I would not recommend them whatsoever and hope the seller refunds me.Read more

The media could not be loaded. The heavy protection that is advertised is ONLY on one of the gloves, NOT both. Luckily my husband is left handed and these gloves work for him. I did not notice a place that asked Right or Left. We just recieved them and are waiting for the chaps and helmet. Hubby IS also waiting for 18cords of logs to show up, so he’ll have ample opportunity to put the gear to work.Read more

Left glove much smaller then the right. These gloves must also be for left handed? Why would only one glove have protection? It’s silly and my husband couldn’t figure it out. If you’re right handed and using the the throttle with your right hand and the left hand is on the upper bar, if you remove your left hand (the protected hand) off the upper bar you will literally cut your legs in half by a swinging saw…. so what I mean is… why is only the left hand protected and not the right hand?Read more

Go a size up from what you think you might need, unless you like your gloves fitting very tightly for high dexterity. These don’t fit like work gloves- I would normally take a large but the XLs fit snug. I normally like work gloves loose so you can whip them off quickly when you need more dexterity, but these are thin enough that they give good dexterity with the glove on for use on something as clumsy as a chainsaw. They seem durably constructed and well stitched but the tips/pads of the fingers wear through quickly- the leather is VERY soft and needs a better backing for reinforcement. They meet a rating for protection and yet aren’t as heavy and clumsy as I would have guessed.Read more
