VR Cover Lens Cover for Oculus Quest 2 (Black)

Very thin little cheap piece of foam that’s kinda almost molded to the eye pieces. Nothing holds it in except for the faceplate on the Quest, so if you need to remove or swap yours out, this thing is going to fall out too. Once you put it over the eye pieces, you have to push down around it to get it wedged in enough to stay put. If your hand or the headset slips, you’re getting fingerprints where you don’t want them. I was really disappointed in this coming from a more “brand name” type manufacturer. This should cost no more than $2, and that is stretching it. I’ll be shopping around for something that offers better & more secure protection.Read more

Excellent product to protect those lenses. I also have clip on prescription lenses, and it still works fine. Unlike the top part, the bottom doesn’t slip into the faceplate (likely due to the added prescription lenses), but that’s ok. It holds it’s place, and doesn’t interfere with the internal compartment of the official Quest 2 case. My only concern, as with protectors of this type, is the relatively rough edge. I try to be mindful, so as not to graze the surface of the lenses during install/removal. Other than that, super product from a company officially backed by Oculus. Very glad I got one before it became unavailable.Read more

I give 3 stars because it’s not what i expected from vr cover. I have multiple accessories from them and this is the only time i have mixed feelings. It’s really thin, too save money or just make it lighter? It seems a tad big, is that too make it fit tighter or bad design? It does have nice molding so it fits around lenses nicely. I guess i didn’t know what to expect. That’s why 3 stars, they need to market it as ultra thin protection so people like me aren’t expecting something like 90% off the internet sell, thick with padding on the eye area. In going to use it and update to 5 if everything i mentioned turns out to be better than i first think.Read more

Works well, if the fitment instructions are followed. Put the top edge in first, then work your way around the outside edges then finally the lower edge. I like this lens cover, but the only drawback is I have to POWER OFF my Quest2 otherwise it will stay on since it trips the proximity sensor. Not a big deal, but in-between sessions I have to power the unit back on instead of just place it on my head.Read more

Way overpriced for what it is. It’s just molded felt. I was expecting something rigid that would help the sides of the lenses and not allow anything to touch the surfaces. This cover would protect the screen from sunlight burns, but it could also rub and scratch the optical surfaces.Read more

Even though it’s $10 and seems as if they’re $1 to produce, $10 is a small price for the peace of mind it gives you. Also didn’t realize how satisfying it would be to put on the lenses. Great when paired with the VR Cover foam interface as well (which you can get for free, look up “free vr cover oculus quest 2” on YouTube and something should pop up).Read more

Its a cover for your lenses, not much to say here. It does cover all the way around the lenses and up the sides, I feel confident my lenses wont get scratched when not in use. There are certainly cheaper options out there but if your invested into the VR cover ecosystem this is another nice touch.Read more

Great cover, you still need to clean the lenses before putting this on and taking it off but the main point of the product is to prevent the lenses being damaged by sunlight and it seems to work great for that.Read more

As far as lens covers go, this one seems fine. However, despite the lenses on my Quest 2 being clean and the lens cover being brand new, after I fitted it and then removed it, there were smudges on my lenses. The point of a lens cover is to keep them clean – I think ANYTHING touching them is always going be counterproductive in retrospect, so I actually won’t be using this product. Having to be fastidious enough to stop your lens cover ever getting dirty or dusty is actually harder than just making sure you don’t get dirt and dust on your lenses. I can imagine if one put the lens cover down on a dusty/dirty surface, it will pick up that dirt and then transfer it to your lenses when you use it. Best just keep everything away from the lenses and be done with.Read more

I am a bit paranoid when it comes to my Oculus Quest 2. It was a Christmas present from my partner, and I’m so scared that I’m going to break it beyond repair somehow. One of the things I was particularly worried about, was sun damage to the lenses/screen. I had previously resorted to stuffing my Quest 2 with screen cleaning cloths, but really wanted a purpose-built accessory. This lens cover fits my device perfectly, and I’ve got no doubt that the opacity is more than sufficient to protect my device from sun damage. I wish I didn’t have to pay as much as I did for it, but I’m definitely glad that I bought it. You have to manipulate the product a bit to get it to fit snugly in the interface of the Quest 2, but I’m not sure there’s any other way that would keep it in place, so I don’t mind at all. I’d highly recommend this for any Oculus/Meta Quest 2 device owners that want to prolong the life of their console!Read more

Just what I needed. After I found out you can’t replace the oculus lenses I realised I need to be super careful with them. I read someone saying they touch the lens- if you do this you’re putting it in wrong- they are designed to sit above the lenses so they block dust but don’t touch them. Basically you just very lightly place this in the headset and it covers the lenses- put the middle in first and then lightly tuck the left and right edges in against the rubber of the quest. Doesn’t touch the lenses and keep them safe! :)Read more

A bit pricy but well enough designed. Best feature is it doesn’t cover the sensor that detects if it’s being worn, so it will stay in standby mode. A little fiddly to fit in and doesn’t fit 100% perfectly in the ridge I think it’s supposed to but that is only a minor gripe. Comes packaged in a resealable bag to keep it dust free when not in use which is fantastic. Would recommend even though it was a little expensive for what it is.Read more

Does the job, however when putting it on the device it can be little tricky, ultimately it just needs to cover the lenses but I find I am always trying to push it in the corners of the device so it stays put. However, still offers good protection and I am glad I have it.Read more
