The media could not be loaded. Purchased this for a one year old for his birthday. He is enjoying it at the moment. He still isn’t walking but when he does I’m sure he will learn no score some goals as well as he plays basketball.Read more

My 18-month son loves this toy! We got it for him as a Christmas present and almost 5 months later he still plays with it every time he sees it. We have a 2 floor house and wanted something we could keep downstairs that wouldn’t take so much space and have a million pieces. This accomplishes just that! I love that it has two grooves on each of the legs of the base to keep the balls neatly put away when not in use. You can also turn on/off the sound and play. In the box you get the sports center, soccer ball, and basket ball. You do need to use a screwdriver to afix the score board, so be aware this is not a toy you can just take apart and put together on demand. But like I said it is very compact. All other pieces, like most VTech toys just snap in place. The sports balls are a great size for little hands but after a while need a little air because they get soft. Since these are silicone type, if they are too deflated and your toddler steps on them, they can easily lose their balance. It also requires AA batteries, seriously not included. The whole sports center is very sturdy and can be used in different surfaces. We wanted a basketball net that would not too over on the little guy. It has withstood my rambunctious toddler slam dunking the balls, throwing other toys into the net, and dragging the whole center across the room. Not to mention basketball/soccer face off battles between my husband and I. Does not tip over! When you shoot the ball into the basket, it counts up to ten. It just cheers when you kick to score, no counting. There are also upbeat songs that cheer the little ones on. The gears are fully functional and allow for sitting play. The flip tabs also make noise when you turn them. My son’s favorite is the monkey on the side. He will tug on that thing even if he doesn’t play with the rest of the sports center. I will definitely recommend this toy. My son loves to play soccer so for us, it is definitely a win!Read more

I got this for my son who is turning two. Today we put it together and played with it for the first time. The pros: it’s a very nice size, colorful, lots of buttons, and very portable. The cons: it really doesn’t act as advertised. The scoreboard only counts dunks so if your little makes a clean basket they don’t score which to me defeats the purpose. The scoring for the soccer goal doesn’t work either. All of the effects are really random. It will be counting baskets, snd suddenly sing a random song and stop counting. The buttons don’t relate to their pictures and it makes a lot of annoying noise that was more distracting for my child than useful. Overall this is not a teaching toy, it’s just an annoying toy that shouts random things and lights up. To sum: it’s just okay. My little loves the lights, but then gets distracted while playing because it’s noisy. I would pay at max $20 for this. It just makes a whole lot of noise for no reason, it doesn’t teach anything because it’s effects don’t match with that the child does, and other than being colorful it’s just another toy we will take the batteries out of and use that way. Save your money and buy something else. If we hadn’t already shown it to him I would have sent it back. The company has really gone downhill in their products and we won’t be buying anymore by this brand.Read more

The intro son keeps loopinry loudly, even after being gone replaced with brand new batteries. It’s also very small, my one year old is very short, and he is still taller than it. The picture falsely advertises it to be larger than it is by having a hold that seems to be 2-3 in age next to it and it seems to be pretty large. It’s the complete opposite. Even if it worked, by the time he is able to understand how to use it, it will be entirely too small. Money wasted.Read more

We purchased this toy for our grand daughter when she was just 9 months old…. she loved the balls, and sounds it made! As she grew she was able to really enjoy the fun of actually dunking the basketball and getting the soccer ball in the net… She is now 18 months old and it remains her “go to toy”!!! Worth every penny… although I will say that I have purchased others for gifts and the price is always climbing! Great toy! Thank you!Read more

I got this for my son’s 1st birthday, and he loves it. I wasn’t even done putting it together and he was trying to play with it. It is very easy to put together by the way, it pops together and you just put in a few screws. It needs 3 AA batteries that do not come with it. It has a sensor on it so if they throw a ball in the basket, or into the soccer net it will count and cheer them on. It comes with a soccerball and a basketball, and they are good sized so no choking hazard with those. But there are some small pieces that snap on to the toy as well, like 3 gears. Really entertaining to watch my son play with it…I’ll be honest, I played with it too.Read more

I was somewhat disappointed to see the height of the basketball hoop. I didn’t think about it at the time but it wound up being less than chest-high on my (admittedly tall) 2-year old nephew. By the time the toddler is old enough to understand and appreciate how to use this, it’s a little small. Still a fun toy overall but he may not get too many months of fun with the toy. It was incredibly easy to set up and appears sufficiently sturdy, for what it is. It’s probably just a better toy for slightly younger (18 months or so) and getting it for a much older child will mean they don’t get as much play time out of it.Read more

Great product for the price it was for. One thing I would say though is that if you are planning to wrap this and give it as a gift, opt for the standard packaging instead of the frustration free packaging. The difference between the two is the manufacturer box that the product is packaged in. Frustration free will be packaged in a very plain brown box with labels, not very exciting to see as a kid unwrapping a gift. At least with standard packaging you still get the original manufacturers box with the vibrant colors, images, listed features, etc. Much more exciting for a kid to unwrap. Although in the end, it’s the product that’s inside which matters most I suppose.Read more

Its cute and my boy likes it. It was really easy to put together, i did it in like 2 minutes. There is 4 tiny screws though that need to go in to hold the pieces down so make sure you have a screw driver. Although i think it would be mostly ideal for a 6-12 month old baby because its really shorter and smaller then i expected. My boy is 2 years old (not the one in the pic) but its not that exciting to him other then putting the balls through the hoop and the lights that pop up on the screen. Not many buttons on it either. I dont really think its worth as much as the price.Read more

Bought for my one year nephew and the older kids had just as much fun playing with it with him! Most importantly – there are 2 settings for volume and you can turn it off – and the sounds aren’t very annoying – parent friendly! The last thing you want it to buy a child a gift and annoy the heck out of the parents with it! We bought the frustration free shipping and wasn’t clear what that was when we bought it – it means it’s shipped in a smaller box, and no ties to unclip or cut off. There are a couple extra steps since it’s dismantled a little more for the smaller box but all in all, easy to put together. It took us about 15 minutes (requires a screwdriver). It is a little tipsy if the child is pulling themselves up on it, but it’s not terribly heavy if it does tip over.Read more

Fantastic gift for little ones. My daughter got it for her first birthday and still loves playing with it 1.5 years later. (Can’t seem to get it out of the toy cycle). The versatility in terms of type of play is what keeps it captivating. She loves playing with it on her own and with her older sister who is soon to be 6 and has also enjoyed playing with it on her own. They make up all sorts of games and challenges with it. Less used in the summer as the girls are outside most of the time but great for a rainy day physically active break and fall/winter/spring. We recently purchased for our nieces first birthday as she too is attracted to the lights, music and balls (loves rolling the ball to illicit a response – great for solidifying cause and effect learning). Enjoying!Read more

My son LOVES this! He’s 14 months and plays on this thing every single day. He’s even started cheering along for himself when he gets the balls in and is now throwing anything he can find into the hoop lol. He’s also throwing things into any other hole he finds as well but I digress, I’m just happy he’s having fun with this thing and his coordination is remarkable. Good buy and would be a great gift.Read more
