It works pretty much as described, and I can easily recommend to most people (There will ALWAYS be some for which anything as “technical” as this will be too hard to understand – Look for the one star reviews). HOW TO USE 1) Start by watching a YouTube video or two. 2) Read the instructions EASY INSTRUCTIONS After 1 & 2 above, just take the largest “shield” and do your entire head. Look in the mirror. Switch to the next size down, and cut from the bottom up, but stop at the side of the top of your head. Look in the mirror. Switch to the next size down, and cut from the bottom to halfway up the previous cut. Look in the mirror. Switch to the Left and Right ear shields. Cut along the edge of the ear from BACK to front. Look in the mirror. By this time you’ll have a good idea what more to do, if anything. You will want to make some changes to suit you and your head, but this will get you stared. . Over all – Very good, and better than some barbers have done. One minor point – The actual clipping part CAN BE KNOCKED OFF. Look at it carefully to see how it has to be snapped back in. ***One way will work, THE OTHER WILL BREAK IT.*** To help it to snap in, AFTER lining it up correctly start the motor. That was the only way that I got it to snap in easily. If all of this sounds too technical, go the a barber shop or hair salon.Read more

I’m not sure how the clippers work just yet. They’re probably fine. This review reflect the fact that my entire package was smeared with blade-oil (hopefully visible in reflected light, first picture). Examining further, my bag of clipper combs was open – not torn, but cut (second picture). Rightfully suspicious, I decided to examine the combs closely – THERE IS STILL HAIR STUCK TO THEM (third picture). There’s a good reason hair-dressers sanitize their tools – this is akin to receiving worn underpants with a stain. VERY unhappy. This is gross. Update: These cut very poorly, requiring around ten passes on an area to get all hairs to the same length. Massive disappointment. Second update: This review, whilst accurate, is for a heavily-used set of clippers that were sent out by Amazon after a return, and are not indicative of Wahl’s clippers in general. I was issued a replacement, which are fantastic, but a different model. This review has been adjusted to the average rating for this product. I would delete this review, but it’s definitely worth noting the quality of customer service from Wahl, and letting folks know that a disappointing, used-product experience is not indicative of anyone’s failure except Amazon.Read more

After charging for 15 hours per the recommendations in the included instructions manual, the clippers performance is woefully under powered. Its almost as if the motor isn’t strong enough. It struggles to cut hair fully despite being fully charged. Wahl has great products but I’m terribly unhappy with this purchase.Read more

Wahl is a good home brand. It’s a pretty good model, not quite as powerful or sharp as the corded versions I’ve had. If you’re an experienced barber, the blades aren’t quite sharp enough to get a really clean fade. On the plus, it’s quiet and it’s cordless which makes the experience much easier. Definitely recommend switching to cordless, but perhaps a stronger model. Updated: only after a few uses, the model is not really usable cordless as the power significantly dies off. I find that I have to leave it plugged in while using which defeats the purpose. Also the sharpness of the blades didn’t up. Overall: Do Not recommend this product.Read more
