This aspirator works really well. However, you will need to use saline to loosen thick mucus. My baby hates me using it but as soon as I turn on the light and music on it, she gets distracted and allows me to clean out her nose. It’s pretty disgusting cleaning it out so be sure to have napkins to remove the snot before washing it UPDATE: I contacted the company because a silicone ring ripped when i took it off to wash. I contacted the company and they sent me a new aspirator in addition to replacement tipsRead more

Okay, I don’t write many reviews, but this one deserves it. My baby just turned 17 months old when I ordered this item for a terrible cold that she had for a week, and it’s actually upsetting that I haven’t had this for the previous 16 months, lol! I had been using the nose frida bc it worked well, but omg, it made my daughter hysterical when I’d use it, and it always meant that I was 100% going to get sick as I was inhaling all of her germs! My husband actually recommended getting one of these, bc in his words, “there’s no reason you should throw yourself under the bus every time she’s sick”…..I just thought that’s what us moms do in these circumstances, lol, so I am utterly shocked and AMAZED at how well this works!! Not only does it work well, but the lights and the little song that it plays immediately grabs my daughter’s attention and she lets me aspirate her nose without a full-on WWE wrestling match! This will be one of the few “MUST HAVES” that gets added to my list of things that every first-time parent should have!Read more

My 2 week old son already has a cold. We were tired of torturing him with the bulbs. I bought the graco before I tried this one. This sucker is much better and quieter than the graco. Does a great job removing snot and clearing airway. Love the case also. Easy to keep everything organized and you can keep it in the diaper bag. Only complaint I have with it is the first 2 levels of suction are useless.Read more

We got this when my one year old got a cold and fighting him with the mouth powered suction device was not cutting it. This little thing was great. The carrying case is a nice hard plastic so I can toss it in the diaper bag and not worry about it, and nice place to store it when not in use. Everything disassembles to rinse/wash and easy to put back together. It included two kinds of tips, which are a nice soft silicone but still firm enough to do the job. Does this do as amazing a job as the mouth sucking devices? Nah. But, the music and lights allow me to suck out snotties without “as much” of a fight as we had- so it’s a win for me. Highly recommend using a saline mist first and then going after snots. Helps to thin the snot and allow you to suck much more out. Also, holds up well to being dropped as with 2 hours of receiving got pushed off the counter and was just fine.Read more

I purchased this after trying other nose aspirators on the market. I tried the bulb aspiration and nose frida. I didn’t think either did an adequate job and my kids hated them. So I thought I’d give it a try. The electric aspirator works really well for runny snot. If the boogers are dry, it does not suck them out. Nose tweezers are included in the package, which was a surprise I didn’t know I needed! They work really well for the dry boogers near the opening of the nose. My baby isn’t thrilled about me using these products but accepts the intrusion better than the bulb syringe or nose frida. Overall, I’d recommend this product.Read more

We had the nose frida with our first baby but thought we’d try this electronic nose suction with our second baby. WOW! What a difference! Below are the advantages of the Baby Nasal Aspirator: – the suction is gentle but effective! Our son hardly knows anything is being done to him with the nasal aspirator whereas the nose frida is pretty invasive and a bit of a startling experience for baby. – quiet!! I have to admit that the suctioning sound made by the nose frida is really satisfying, but it ALWAYS made our babies cry! The nasal aspirator is as effective as getting mucus caught in the nasal cavity out, but it’s all you hear is the gentle humming of the aspirator rather than the loud sucking sounds. – one-hand use. This is a pretty big one. With the nose frida, it was pretty much a two-person affair, especially with an older baby who will roll/thrash wildly/etc. The nasal aspirator is so gentle that it’s easy to use with one hand while cradling your baby in the other arm. The buttons are placed PERFECTLY on the body of the aspirator so you can easily manage them with your thumb or index finger. There’s no long tubing to monitor of kinks or to get caught in baby’s arms/hands. SO much easier to use! – easy to clean. The narrow holes in the nasal aspirator are easily cleaned with a pipe cleaner, and the pieces are small enough that it’s easy to reach into them with a small brush or wash cloth. Reassembly is also pretty easy – I only had to look at the instructions once and could remember how to do it each time. Plus, because your mouth isn’t going on it at any point in time, there’s no extra tubing or anything to wash out! – silicone tips are soft on baby’s skin. I really appreciated this one. Not only is it gentler on Baby, but it’s also a little flexible, making it easier to maneuver the aspirator around a little to get the right angle without applying unnecessary pressure on nostrils. – different tips for newborn. The bulbous tip is so great for a small infant. The tip is small enough to easily slip into the nostril while the big bulb prevents you from going in too deep! The tip of the nose frida is definitely harder to get into a small infant’s nostril and would constantly slip out. – portable and protected in a case. Transporting the nose frida was really hard. You can’t fold it because it’d create a kink in the tube, but leaving it to lay out long inevitably would mean it’d end up on the floor somewhere because it’d get caught on a blanket, sleeve, or other body part. The nasal aspirator comes in a really sturdy container with a plastic lining that houses designated, molded spots for the aspirator body, 2 tips, and tweezers, but you can also remove the plastic lining and use the container as a secure case for storing everything and additional tips. – no need to change filter. Only the tips need to be changed out, but they can be reused often as long as you clean them thoroughly and regularly. Overall, we much prefer the advantages of the nasal aspirator over the nose frida. This has become one our Top 10 Baby Registry recommendations to friends and family who are expecting!Read more

I like that it is mechanical and the suction is a constant pressure vs using a manual one or one you suck with your mouth.Read more

My son loves the music and likes to watch the lights, which makes the job easier. I just wish they had a lot but more suction as sometime it doesn’t come out, but I believe it’s safer for babies. The battery turns to finish quite fast, I wish that was a way to save battery, but still a good purchaseRead more
