This product was the perfect solution to angle my Ring doorbell downward toward my porch, steps and walkway for perfect viewing. Always note when installing, flat side of product is attached to wall, not the Ring device, by doing so, the screws will be plenty long enough to use all 3 angles simultaneously as pictured here.Read more

Pretty terrible. Way overpriced. The wedge and corner wedge don’t fit together well. And the corner wedge doesn’t even fit other corner wedges well. Very cheap, plastic and the cheap screws strip out instantly when using a drill at a slow speed. It also looks a bit ghetto. Even with predrilled holes the plastic warped as the screw went in. So the fit is even worse post installation. Even though I bought over priced “ring” brand mounts, disappointed that not even the doorbell fits flush with the mount. (2 sets at 19.99) = 40 bucks of worthless plastic that should value about 3$. Does not include wire or crimps.Read more

I tried to install all three wedge pieces today. The holes in the plastic pieces are way too small. I actually bent the enclosed screw trying to put it through the three pieces. I drilled them out. Then I tried to put all three pieces together and the enclosed screws are only long enough to put two together–the third one is useless. Since I get a terrible “white out” because my Ring doorbell is installed in a recessed doorway–the light from the street wipes out all the video beyond my entryway, I want to try all three wedges to see if that will help. The suggestion from customer service was to install a curtain across the top of my entryway–wouldn’t that be a stylish addition to a brick home! I wish I had gotten a different doorbell system altogether. I wish they supplied adequate hardware with their products so it can actually be used! I wish the holes in the wedges were adequate for the size of the screws. I wish the screws were long enough to work on three wedges. I wish the screws were strong enough that they didn’t bend when being screwed through plastic.Read more

Go to the hardware store and buy four screws for this item. When hand screwing the provided soft metal screws into the pre-drilled plastic hardware they snapped off with very little effort. Rather than take my time to remove them and then drive to the hardware store and buy replacements, then drive back home , I simply decided to return it. It is hard to imagine that they save money by using the softest and sorriest metal for wood screws.Read more

Easy to mount and was just what was needed for my ring doorbell. If you have any stairs leading to your front door you’re going to need this.Read more

I purchased a Ring video 2 and mounter to the lap siding. Unfortunately it pointed the camera slightly upward. along with the motion sensor. Any cars from the street would set it off. The package comes with 2, 5 degree wedges similar to what comes with the Ring. You stack what you need and use the extra extra long screws to hold it. Not a mechanically good setup. A person with a 3d printer could make something better. That plus the Cost for a piece of plastic. I would like to see an adjustable wedge that the screws push flatley on the surface. So while it solved my problem it was an expensive wedge.Read more

I needed to change the angle on the ring doorbell 2 so I wouldn’t get a motion alert every time a car went by. I thought I’d try and save money by just wedging a piece of wood behind it, but it not only looked terrible, but didn’t quite get the right angle I needed. This worked perfectly!Read more

I purchased the Ring Video Doorbell 2020 release and immediately fell in love with this door bell. That is until after having it for about 3 weeks, I noticed a BIG difference in the videos. My camera showed color video both at night and in the day! For some reason I noticed that it went not only black & white at night, but also it showed a LARGE white glare off the bricks. In my pictures I will show that I had an issue with the “Night Black/White” vs “Night Color Vision”. Also I will show what the fix (or so what RING customer service said the fix would be). In my photo showing the time stamps at 3am, you can see the difference. Ring told me that I wasn’t supposed to have color vision at night with this model and that they weren’t sure why I did. (I told them that I did not change my porch light or ANYTHING and that the black and white I didn’t like.) They offered to send me the Corner Wedge Mount Kit free saying that it would fix the issue with the white light on the brick. To this day it is not explained why it went black and white after 3 weeks of night color, but after purchasing the Wedge Mount Kit (I needed this as the pictures shows to point the camera downwards for more of a porch view), as well as using the free Corner Mount Kit that I received from Ring……THE PICTURE IS MUCH BETTER both day and night, with no brick!Read more

I would have given 5 stars except this came to over 30 dollars with shipping. There is nothing proprietary about it. It can probably be made at the source for 35 cents. Save your money if you have a woodworking shop, cut a wedge at 5 to 15 degrees, sand it, paint it and Bob’s your uncle. I gave it 4 stars because it does what it’s advertised to do. Any other high end product would have included the accessory….this simply left a bad taste in my mouth and I will never purchase another RING product nor endorse it.Read more

I have a set of 4 stairs leading to my front door and the motion detection feature on my ring doorbell was not triggering when people would walk directly to my front door in clear view of the camera which has been installed exactly as instructed. Ring recommended I buy the wedge kit which I did and it has not improved the situation at all. In fact, I think it’s less reliable than it was without the wedges. I have tried every single combination of motion settings possible as well as having tried using 1, 2, and 3 wedge pieces and I am still having major problems with the motion detection feature. It is not reliable in the slightest. I can not recommend this product as it seems to have been a complete waste of money. I have uninstalled the wedges and gone back to the doorbell alone. I have just accepted the fact that the doorbell will only reliably work if someone actually “rings” it. Very disappointed.Read more

This product does what it promises and is sturdy. Thats all. Looking at previous reviews, the price has come down but it is still questionable high, which makes you wonder why you’re paying for prime when the shipping cost is CLEARLY added to this product. It is maybe $0.30 of ABS plastic, and has no tight tolerances so it’s not a tooling cost. If you have a 3D printer, or know someone who does… ask them instead of paying $15 for literal plastic molding.Read more

I bought the wedge kit along with a “Ring” video door bell. I though I would need it to install the door bell but I did not use it. The standard mount was fine. I do point out that the wedge kit only helps in up and down view. It will not do side to side if that is what you need. The angle of view on the Ring is more than enough to see the front door although I fabricated my side wedge myself to help the angle of view. Make sure you need it for your mounting.Read more

Very disappointed with this add on wedge kit. There is NO way to angle the Ring camera left or right.Read more
