10,000 seeds sounds like a lot. But the packet I received is only 1/2 ounce including the packet itself. This is a thick packet, so it may be half the weight. Probably only 1/3-1/4 oz of seed. This tiny packet was $5, but 1 pound is $10. That is 30-50 times more seed for only twice the money. Do not waste your money on the little packet. Get it by the pound. 🙂 This does seem to be decent quality seed and packaging.Read more

Planted in April, fast germination and thick as hell in some areas…still afraid to walk on it much. I did mow the tall grasses that showed up….had to gt down on my knees and ‘swipe’ the clover back up to a standing position where the tractor wheels rode. all in all this was a great idea..color is very uniform….anxious to see the white flowers later on. BTW, this project was an experiment to deal with lawn under a Dawn Redwood tree, which sucks all the moisture and nutrients out of the soil beneath. The roots ran out over 25′ from the tree…I filled 2 large yard waste bags with roots I dug up prior to setting the clover. Only complaint I have is description says “10000 seeds”…seller shipped only 9999, he/she owes me 1 seed. lolRead more

I was hoping to do clover to help cut back on watering due to drought conditions. I planted early to avoid excess heat and made sure to keep it watered. After two weeks I saw zero sprouts. So applied more seed thinking maybe the first time I spread it to thin. It has been over a month now and nothing. In fact now my lawn is covered in morning glory and other weeds due to me not fertilizing and spreading weed killer to help protect the clover seeds. I bought another 1 pound bag for my backyard but I think I am just going to attempt to return it since it doesn’t want to grow in my yard for whatever reason.Read more

We broadcast this seed admist our spotty turf on the sunny slope out front (where turf grasses have struggled) following aeration last season in late winter. It settled in across the Spring, germinated well and provided great additional green coverage all Summer. We reordered for other areas this season.Read more

I used these clover seeds mixed with a quality grass seed and they came up well. I enjoy seeing the clover grass mix as a more sustainable green space filler. If maintained without herbicides clover makes a safe space for pollinators. Since I planted late summer, I’ve not yet seen the flowers. I’m looking forward to seeing them in the spring.Read more

Dog killed a small lawn by peeing on it. Scattered this on roughed up soil and watered it in. It grew in a couple of weeks, looks lush, and the dog hasn’t managed to kill it.Read more

I wanted to plant my yard in clover. I did a lot of research before tearing out one section of grass. I followed instructions that came with the seed meticulously. Before sowing, I mixed the seed with some fertilizer that I bought from our local farm store. Despite careful attention (making sure the ground stayed moist, etc.) I got absolutely nothing. Not a single clover seed germinated. This was a total waste of money, and of a lot of time. NOT RECOMMENDED.Read more
