The outer layers are firmer closed-cell foam which are “skinned” so there are smooth surfaces on the top and bottom of the pad, which should be less prone to dirt pickup, more washable, and longer lasting than your typical pad’s raw cut foam. The material is very durable and resilient, with amazing ability to provide lots of soft cushioning without going flat with applied weight. It is manufactured with three layers so it is very soft but does not bottom out when heavy weight is applied. The surface has a lot of grip so it does not slide or slip easily. Simply Great. Will purchase again… But I believe this one will last a very long time since it is quite tough and well built. It is well worth the money in my opinion. This is a very comfortable kneeling pad for doing gardening. It does get a little slippery from sweat but I live in Florida, so sweating is to be expected. It’s soft but still protects the knees while kneeling on hard surfaces. I only wish it was a little thicker for use indoors on tile floors.Read more
