The X-Chock starts off where the Deluxe Tire Locking Chock left off, but it’s new, slimmer design will fit into more axle applications. Fits between tandem tires, it locks wheels by applying force to both tires. Aids in trailer stabilizing and prevents tire shifts. A hand operated plated ratchet wrench (Model 841025, included) turns a drive nut, extending the chocks against the tires for locking and retracting the chucks for removal.

The X-Chock works as advertised, but they CAN NOT be used as a replacement for wheel chocks. BAL includes a notice that using them while jacking the trailer or raising/lowering the tongue jack will VOID the warranty. These can only be used AFTER the trailer is leveled and MUST BE REMOVED before getting ready to hitch-up. So, you will still need wheel chocks to secure the trailer for other operations. This was not made clear in the description. You only find it if you read through the Reviews or the Q & A answers (must expand to read all answers). That said, these lock the trailer rock solid. My tires are closer together so I have to remove the X-Chocks one at a time to chock the tires to raise or lower the tongue jack. The tire pads are too low in my application. Would buy again.Read more

We are full time rvers but I would recommend this to ANYONE I hated how much our rv rocked when I walked and how much the rv rocked when my husband was walking around. I decided to give these a shot. A lot of people said they’re heavy so I opened them up a little first and then put them in position and adjusted as needed. I’m 26 semi handy women and I installed these with no problems in less then 5 minutes and felt the result immediately!Read more

Very satisfied! This is a great price for a product that exceeded my expectations. Using them on a 31′ travel trailer with a wheel spacing of about 8″ between tires. Before we had these, the trailer shifted and jiggled whenever anyone moved around…even with the 4 corner stabilizers down. Now, it’s rock solid. Only drawback I have is that my fenders on the trailer prevent me from placing these so that the adjustment nut is on the top, which would make it easier to open/close the jacks (see pic). I had to flip them upside down, which causes the wrench to work against gravity and slip off if I’m working quickly to set up. But this is a problem with my set-up, not the product and easy enough to work around. Quality of product rivals/exceeds that stocked in the local RV stores at half the price. Heard great things about this type of jack, but didn’t want to pay the ridiculous amount asked for in local stores. Highly recommend them. I should have gotten them years ago.Read more

Both seem to function and fit well. They’re a little awkward to install, and I’ve found it best to hold them against one tire and expand to the point where it’s almost touching the second tire in order to line it up just right. I have a small cordless drill with a 3/4″ adapter that I use for my stabilizer jacks and it also fits these chocks. Fortunately I have plenty of room to get the small drill in, so installation is a snap. My gripe with these is that the pads that contact the tire are smooth. I feel they should have a rough surface to really grab onto the tire. I don’t like that you need to apply a lot of force between the two tires for them to get a good “bite”.. if the pads had some teeth you wouldn’t need as much force to get enough grip to prevent roll.Read more

Great tool for keeping the camper rock solid still. Definitely need to take care to not crank them too tight. Also, these do not negate the need to traditional chocks. These are only to be installed once the trailer has been parked, disconnected, and leveled (so you’ll need the traditional chocks during that process). Only after all that do you install these. The difference is noticeable, would highly suggest these to anyone with a camper trailer.Read more

These items are great at reducing almost all of the back and forth rocking of my TT. Using a pair works best. I experimented with using only one. It worked fine, but utilizing two is the best way to go. Remember that these aren’t meant to replace the traditional wheel chocks. Speaking of, using these in conjunction with heavy duty rubber chocks that you can tap with a small rubber mallet to get a snug bite on your tires works excellent. Buy these if you are still undecided. They work very well.Read more

Holy cow. These are quite possibly the best wheel chocks for a camper I’ve ever used. We have a 32′ Travel trailer and took it to the mountains this weekend. The chocks locked the wheels in place better than any wedge chock I’ve ever used, and has the same Hex head size as the stabilizer bars, so locking them in place using an impact driver with an adapter was done in seconds. 11/10, would recommend to anyone.Read more

Best investment yet wish I would of bought these when I first got my trailer. My axles sit about as close together as you can get and the x-chock still fit in between. Can’t believe how much “bounce” it took out of the trailer when people are walking around. Don’t hesitate to purchase they won’t dissapoint!Read more

In the constant search for camping trailer stabilization, I finally pulled the trigger on these. With a full house in the trailer (2 kids, wife, dog and me) it’s always been a struggle to keep the trailer as motionless as possible. After having added blocks, standard wheel chocks and even extra stabilizer jacks; I thought, “let’s give these a shot”. Now, this review is in the early stages as the camping season is slowly creeping its way here at the time of this review. I plan on updating the review after I’ve gotten a few solid months of use under our belt. As always, they came in quick and packaged well. I opened the box up to inspect and was actually surprised as to how small these are in person. To the point that I was not even sure they would fill the gap between my tires. I had a closer look at them and was pleasantly surprised to see that there was a bit of grease already applied. I also like that they throw in a ratcheting wrench for you to use. Right away I decided I would just spin them open to see. I found them to be pretty tight to open and close. The plates were also pretty tight. This is a good thing as you don’t want everything to loosen up on you. After opening them all the way up and measuring, I got 10.75″ as a span. You would be very hard pressed to get the 15″ advertised in the listing. After being satisfied that everything was intact and working right, I took them out to the trailer to dry fit them. I was glad to see that these were, in fact, going to fit the gap between my tires. In my application, I have a plastic skirt that makes it difficult to install in the upright position. I simply flipped it upside down and cranked it down. The long bolt just fit perfectly in between the skirting’s braces as well so that was lucky. Now here is where I’m a bit concerned. Once I fit it to the tire gap, I noticed that these were not very squared up and seemed to have been binded a bit. They opened and closed smoothly, but the shoes didn’t all sit flat on the tires. (You can see that in one of my images). Now I’m sure with some fiddling, I’ll get it as flat as possible. I was able to get them to be pretty tight too. I didn’t want to overdo it as they did seem that they possibly would not be able to take too much pressure. They actually feel like they may bend if you pushed them too far. Now I know that most people say they need to be pretty tight in order to be effective so time will tell. I also really like that they added the feature to be able to lock them up as these types of things tend to grow legs when you’re not around. The only issue here though is that you’re limited to a pretty small lock to fit those holes. Overall, they seem to fit well and are fairly easy to set up. Once we get some actual use out of them, then I’ll provide an update. Afterall, you buy these for decreasing trailer movement. 🙂 Pros: Seem well built light enough easy installation include decent ratcheting wrench Cons: shoes didn’t seem to sit flat security holes for locks are too smallRead more
